TBD Devastator native FSX/P3D3,4,4.5
TBD Devastator introduced a new era in naval aviation . Biplanes on carrier decks would soon be consigned to history. The TBD Devastator was the Navy's first all-metal, monoplane torpedo bomber. lt was also the Navy's flrst carrier-based plane to come with an enclosed cockpit, and the first to use main landing gear wheel brakes. The TBD was withdrawn from front-line service in the summer of 1942, but continued in service as an advanced trainer until the end of the war. A total of 130 TBDs were built. native mdl by A.F.Scrub

Sink the Bismarck Mission
(Category: FSX > Missions)
2.29Mb (1085 downloads)
One of the major battles in WWII dealt with the scuttling
of the huge German battleship Bismarck.
There is also a movie about it.
A fortunate torpedo hit at the stern of the Bismarck was made by an out-dated Fairey Swordfish, torpedo bomber, bi-plane that rendered the battleship's steering gear inoperable. The Swordfish took off from the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal. This mission is more-or-less aimed at simulating that event. You will need:
Downloads of the Bismarck, a Swordfish torpedo bomber bi-plane, & the Ark Royal carrier are required.
