As far as is known this aircraft was unique is so far as although the French Air Force had placed an odder for a number of Spitfires, only one was delivered before France was over run. very little is known about this aircraft or what happened to it, only one B/W photo is known, so the placement of the wing roundels is not confirmed, only a guess based on the placement and size of similar aircraft. Welcome to Nelson Lakes, a small general aviation airfield 5 nautical miles west-north-west of St. Arnaud, in the upper South Island of New Zealand. Nelson Lakes is home to the Nelson Gliding Club, and is only a short flight southwards from either Nelson Airport NZNS, or Motueka Airfield NZMK. Scenery requires some EZ Scenery Object Sets ( see INSTALL instructions for details ).

The aircraft represented is a T-34C-1 of the Escuela de Aviacion Naval, Armada Argentina, as stationed at Punta Indio AB. These textures are intended for use with the Alpha Simulations T-34C Turbo Mentor payware aircraft package. Original release textures and this Repaint by Frank Safranek.

The Centaurus was the final development of the Bristol Engine Company's series of sleeve valve radial aircraft engines, an 18-cylinder, two-row design that eventually delivered over 3,000 hp. First run: July 1938 Number built: c.2,500 Manufacturer: Bristol Aeroplane Company Major applications: Hawker Tempest; Bristol Brabazon; Hawker Sea Fury Sleeve valve engines were developed to get over all of the problems that were encountered on poppet valve engines! Typical examples of reliability: Civil Centaurus max TBO (Time Between Overhaul) was 3000 hrs and Civil Merlin max TBO 1000 hrs. Setting up the valve timing was intensive work though. The Tempest Trials = Test with LA602 reavealed that the aircraft suffered from engine vibrations. These were solved by mounting the engine on six shock absorbing rubber-packed mountings. These mounts prevented the installation of the Centaurus XII engine (which was originally intended to power production Tempest IIs) and the Centaurus V was chosen as the production power plant. This is skins only release for the default Cessna 208B Caravan in the livery of Palm Express - an AI-Airline operating from Malibu California. It started in 2013 as an AI Traffic Project for an upgrade to Aeroworks Malibu scenery. It's very similar to Emerald Harbor Air or the other default AI-Airlines, but flies exclusively from Malibu as it's hub. As such it is the only airline operating from Malibu, and its routes are often flown to other destinations along the Southern California coast. If you have Malibu 2016 (Version 4.1 AFC2v41_jt.zip) installed on your system, you will see this aircraft operating along the coastal areas near Los Angeles. Repaint by Jason L. Terry
