FS2004 HS 121 Trident 1E-140 Channel Airways Textures only. Channel Airways took the bold and ill advised step of ordering a fleet of brand new HS Tridents and BAC 1-11's. It was soon realised that the airline would be unable to sustain their purchase so the orders were trimmed. The Trident order was for five high capacity series 1E-140 with seven abreast seating in some parts of the fuselage. Only two were delivered, one was sold to Air Ceylon and the remaining two to BKS. The airline was not even to operate two aircraft for long as one, G-AVYE was later grounded due to an engine being held by Rolls Royce against debt. It donated a few parts to the remaing machine. FSX only-Scenery German Navy Base (Marinestützpunkt) Wilhelmshaven. It can be used as WWII harbour or as modern harbour. The scenery consists of the Marine harbor with its barracks, a two channel lock with a leaving old destroyer and the 4-mast barque "Passat". That pretty tallships lays today in Travemuende as museum ship but imagine the russian 4-mast barque "Sedov" visits the modern Navy harbor as guest in Wilhelmshaven. This is my very first BGL I've created. My scenery is proposed to be combined with the great tool "AiCarriers2" which will set up to ten ships in the harbour. An AiCarriers2 configuration plus three diverent ai_Narvic-class destroyers for the WWII base are included. There are also saved flights with the proper coordinates in the harbor included; one flight is for 1941 with a preset ai carriers configuration and the other for 2018. The two modern fregates "Bayern" appears if you have Henrik Nielsen's complete ai fleet and traffic files. Scenery by Erwin Welker.

The Centaurus was the final development of the Bristol Engine Company's series of sleeve valve radial aircraft engines, an 18-cylinder, two-row design that eventually delivered over 3,000 hp. First run: July 1938 Number built: c.2,500 Manufacturer: Bristol Aeroplane Company Major applications: Hawker Tempest; Bristol Brabazon; Hawker Sea Fury Sleeve valve engines were developed to get over all of the problems that were encountered on poppet valve engines! Typical examples of reliability: Civil Centaurus max TBO (Time Between Overhaul) was 3000 hrs and Civil Merlin max TBO 1000 hrs. Setting up the valve timing was intensive work though. The Tempest Trials = Test with LA602 reavealed that the aircraft suffered from engine vibrations. These were solved by mounting the engine on six shock absorbing rubber-packed mountings. These mounts prevented the installation of the Centaurus XII engine (which was originally intended to power production Tempest IIs) and the Centaurus V was chosen as the production power plant.
