FS2004 Boeing 707-436 BOAC 'Golden Speedbird' early Textures only. The ill-fated G-APFE is seen here in the second livery worn by the type in BOAC service. This aircraft encountered severe clear air turbulence near Mount Fuji shortly after take off from Tokyo. The crew decided to fly closer than normal to give the passengers a good look at the mountain and broke it up in mid air. The aircraft was the first of only two BOAC/BA Boeing 707's to be lost in service and was still wearing this livery at the time of the crash in March 1966.
