The airport covers 119 acres and has one runway. It is primarily a commuter facility used by unscheduled air taxis and general aviation. This scenery is intended as a single/multiplayer helicopter obstacle course where heli pilots can meet to compete, show off, and share their helo skills. Since birdseye (Timm Turner) already did a neat scenery called Hana_Scenery_PHHN (http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?type=item&ID=85&page= .. we decided to convert PHHN to a full helicopter training area. Makes a great place for helo pilots to gather to practice and perfect their skills, and challenge other pilots! And keep an eye-out for that Hot Air Balloon, cruising around an altitude of 3000 feet (don't forget to wave at them!).

This is an original model of the RM-1, military version of the Martin 404, based on a source file by D. Waldron. The aircraft is fully animated with a VC and is multi-LOD. She has basic 2D panel with compass and GPS, as well. The panel was adapted from the C-119 panel by D. Reimer. The Martin 404/RM-1 went into service in 1950 as the first pressurized twin-passenger liner. She replaced the initial model 202.

This aircraft modification as with the other "ScorchMod" airtanker conversions comes from a long line of development from the original aircraft. This modification is based around the freeware released SGA DC-9. Although not an MD-87, the models differ only slightly and I felt it was a great platform to do this modification to. The original was made FSX Native by Eagle Rotorcraft. The tank fairing was designed and attached in our group at Simulated Air Tanker Operations. The pack also includes sounds I've modified from Benoit Plamondon's original freeware JT8D soundset for the DC-9/MD-87 to mesh better with FSX and P3D. I have also updated external lighting on the model to reflect the MD-87s better. Model is still FSX native, but was constructed and tested in P3Dv4.5. This likely means it is also compatible in V5 of P3D as well. FSX users will have custom thumbnails. I have also included weight references for use in FireFigherX. This jet can be a challenge to fly fully loaded out of airfields with runways shorter than 5200 feet without the weight and payloads properly configured.
