FSX/Acceleration/P3DV3/FS2004 German frigate F222 Baden Wuerttemberg, a new vessel of the German F125-class. The package contains a pilotable and three ai-versions; one with a MH-90 helicopter doing take off and landing training. The ship is launched in 2014 and has a length of 150 m. It is armed with a 127 mm, two 27 mm and five 12.7 mm remote controled maschine guns plus Harpoon missiles and carries two Sea Lynx or MH-90 helicopters. The pilotable version has more than fourty moving parts, a complete realistic virtual nav-bridge plus a matching 2D bridge. The animations shows movements of the helicopter, Harpoon missile launches and a Zodiac boat moved down to the water surface. Twenty five camera views let you explore all decks and the virtual bridge, let you operate all weapons and the helicopter. The gauges are made by Pierre-Jean Carosin. FSX ASTER_imp GDEMv2 30m mesh for New Zealand.
FSX ASTER_imp GDEMv2 30m mesh for New Zealand. (Category: FSX > Terrain Mesh)
155.31Mb (878 downloads)
"imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas. This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data. Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values. But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands? So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh. Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public. FS2004
Douglas DC-3 Three Fuel Tank Automixture Gauge
0.48Mb (878 downloads)
FS2004 Douglas DC-3 Three Fuel Tank Automixture Gauge For three-tank operation, this gauge may be of interest to those pilots who like to fly without checking the "Enable automixture" function in the "Aircraft/Realism Settings" pull-down menu, but want more DC-3 realism than can be achieved with FS2004's simulation of mixture control. It requires prior installation of Beaumont and Bitzer's Douglas DC-3 Three Fuel Tank Modification, to be found in DC3_3TK.ZIP. Its purpose is to replicate the auto-rich and auto-lean settings on the mixture controls, including a fully functional mixture control. Its calibrated range of operation is from 3000 to 12000ft. density altitude. In the auto-rich position, it approximates the checked "Enable automixture" setting on the "Aircraft/Realism Settings" menu. In the auto-lean position, the mixture is leaned to increase the exhaust gas temperature about 30 degrees K. from auto-rich, and will increase achieved miles per gallon. By Dave Bitzer and Mark Beaumont. File name: DCA_3MX.ZIP. 491K
