In 1969, the De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter 300 series (long nose) was introduced. Both aircraft performance and payload were improved by fitting more powerful PT6A-270 engines. This was a 680 hp (510 kW) engine that was flat-rated to 620 hp (460 kW) for use in the Series 300 Twin Otter. The Series 300 proved to be the most successful variant by far, with 614 Series 300 aircraft and their sub-variants (Series 310 for United Kingdom operators, Series 320 for Australian operators, etc.) sold before production ended in 1988. The Chilean Air force operate the Twin Otter since the sixties, mainly in southern territories as Llanquihue, Aysén and Magallanes regions. The resemblance of the climate and the topography between our southern regions and his native land Canada, make it optimum to operate here. This is an update of the previous model FSX Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket#003_v1, changed to Hybrid model_v1.1. Fixed an issue where pilot legs were visible from the outside of the nose. And I changed the air intake to a larger size. It may look and feel like a real sky rocket. Along with that, the texture was also fixed. When the reality setting was hard, the battery died in mid flight, but it has improved. Added new texture variations. FSDS v3.5 model by UENOSHING. I tested with FSX ACCELERATION only.

Bristol Type 188, the 'Flaming Pencil' was a British highspeed research aircraft. Designed to meet operational requirement ER.134T for a testbed capable of speeds greater than Mach 2. Due to the anticipated effects of kinetic heating at high Mach numbers, the fuselage was constructed of stainless steel. Two aircraft were built, XF923 and XF926. First flight of XF923 was on 14th April 1962 and then XF926 with upgraded Gyron Junior engines on 29th April 1963. Ironically, the Maximum speed achieved was Mach 1.88 at 36,000 ft. Although the top speed of the Type 188 was disappointing, the airframe advanced understanding and knowledge of structures, oils, electrics, hydraulic fluid, bearings, tires, windows and cabin environment at high temperatures as well as telemetry which was used during the development of Concorde. FSX Scenery--Chicago O'Hare Airport (KORD), Illinois (IL), USA. All gate assignments are as they are in 2019. You will need FSX_LTS.ZIP and JETWAY_EXTENSIONS.ZIP to complete some of these sceneries. I added runways 10L-28R, 10C-28C, 10R-28L, 9L-27R. I also rworked the approaches for these runways, per available aircharts. All taxiways have been replaced and renamed as well. I did my best to get the taxi signs correct as well. This was a very large project and took me 8 days to complete. By Rick Bennett

FSX/Accel/FS2004/P3dv3 Pilotable polar science and research icebreaker Polarstern (Polar star). This German vessel of the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research/Bremerhaven was commissioned in 1982 and is mainly used for research in the Arctic and Antarctica. On 17th October 2008, Polarstern was the first research vessel ever traveled through both the Northeast Passage and the Northwest Passage in one cruise plus circumnavigating the North Pole. The model has a 2D panel and a complete virtual navigation bridge and a lot of very special animations: Breaking ice at the bow, a splitted ice wake behind the stern, a Bell 206B Jetranger helicopter can be pushed out of the hangar to the heli deck, four animated cranes, one is lifting a container onto the ice field and a polar bear mother with its child is walking near the ship. Twentyfive cameras let you watch all those animations and explore the ship. Original icebreaker sounds let you enjoy discovering ice fields. Saved flights for FSX and P3dv3 at northern Canada on an icefiled approaching open sea are included. Special ship gauges are made by Jean Pierre Carosin, FSDS model and animations by Erwin Welker

The plans as used for the game Celebration Flight from RAF Scampton to RAF Scampton on the 16-17 May 2018 are based on the book THE DAM BUSTERS by Jonathan Falconer. Flying time, UP to DOWN in the game was a little under 6 hours in AJ-G as Wing Commander Guy Gibson. Training for the raid was carried out with two flights, one to Wainfleet in AJ-Q and the other to the Derwent Dams in AJ-X. The raid on the Sorpe in AJ-T was the second part of the Celebration. The PR Spitfire recon flight plan from RAF Benson is presented as going to all of the Dams that were part of the brief in 1943. A PDF describes the outcomes of two Celebrations on opposite sides of the world, one in South Australia and one in The Netherlands (Koos van Menen). Packaged and flown by Ross McLennan.
