Buffalos at Midway Mission On
the morning of June 4, 1942, Lt. Joichi Tomonaga led a massive strike
force of Vals, Kates and Zeros to attack the scantly defended Island
of Midway. The brave pilots of VMF-221, flying the hoplessly outclassed
F2A Buffalo, rose up to defend their Island against a technologically
and numerically superior enemy. This was the first phase of the Battle

moving parts) it does fly amazingly well !!!!!! Probably the
best V/STOL out there. Includes DP file but the guns aren't

On taking over Guernsey Airlines from Alidair, BAF initially
used Viscount G-AOYI in a modified BAF livery This Herald, G-ASVO
wearing a non standard BAF livery with Guernsey logo and titles
was also used in the early days. The Herald was mainly used
to cover for the Viscount when loads were small and to back
up the Short 330's inherited with the airline when loads were
good. Requires the FSDS Herald model by Rick Piper here

In one of its many guises, the much used G-BDRC flew in this
livery on lease from Alidair. It was later repainted to match
the Viscount 810's but kept the slightly different nose titles.
This one time TCA aircraft bought from Air Inter of France went
on to fly for Air Ecosse Dan Air and Alidair before ending up
as Guernsey Airlines Sarnia II. It was sold to Janus but never
flew in service for them, ending its days on the Manston Fire
dump. Requires the FSDS Viscount 700 model by Rick Piper here
