Iqaluit CYFB 2010 FSX scenery, Nunavut, Canada. Founded in 1942 as an American airbase, Iqaluit is now the capital city of the northern Canadian province of Nunavut. It is the smallest Canadian capital in terms of population and the only capital that is not connected to other settlements by a highway. The airport is of critical importance to the community, especially when ice makes boat travel impossible. At 62 degrees latitude (approx. the same as Yellowknife), Iqualuit offers some of the most severe weather you are likely to encounter at any airport, and has been used for cold weather testing of new airliners. This is a conversion of my FS9 scenery showing CYFB circa 2010. The airport is currently undergoing extensive renovations so I did try and update it, except for the following: RWY 17/35 changed to 16/34 FYF NDB added. West ramp and hangers added. Drzewiecki Design Grass is a freeware, fully automated package of ultra high quality, 4096x4096 pix grass and snow textures for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, FSX:SE and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D (all currently available versions). BORNHOLM ISLAND X DEMO features an extremely detailed scenery of Bornholm Island with EKRN Ronne airport in Denmark, fully compatible with FSX. Bornholm is an island located in the Baltic Sea 37 km south of Sweden and the north of Poland. Bornholm Airport (RNN / EKRN) is a Danish airport located 2.7 nautical miles (5 km) southeast of Ronne. This Demo version of the commercial product features same airport layout as in the full version but with limited 3D objects and low resolution textures. Using this free demo ensures no problems with online (VATSIM, IVAO, multiplayer etc.) flying in case some users use the payware scenery and some don't. The product is equipped with an automatic installer, which means that the scenery will be automatically added to the Flight Simulator Scenery Library. Please uninstall all previous versions of this airport you may have installed before. Please make also sure that no duplicated AFCAD files are installed. "imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas. This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data. Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values. But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands? So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh. Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public. FSX Blue Lick Airport Scenery, Louisville, KY, Version BlueLR01. This scenery was specifically designed to work with the FSX Microsoft Flight Simulator, SP2. It is a small grass strip airport,just South of the Louisville international Airport (SDF) and contains the 1 Meter/pixel photoreal terrain in the Blue Lick airport area. By Jim Jones
