FS2004 Fairchild UC-61 Forwarder (24R) Meteor, Textures only. , I-FULE The UC-61 was the military edition of Fairchild 24, a classic airplane that was designed and manufactured in the late 1930's to the 1940's. The 'Meteor' company, worldwide known for its RPV drones and UVA, was founded, after the war's end, as air services agency and light aircraft factory, by Mr. Furio Lauri (a famous WW2 Italian ace, recently dead). Initially the company operated with military surplus aircrafts as the UC-61 and the British Auster. This aircraft, registration N9051U, is painted in Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) livery. The paint scheme and registration number worn is representative of the livery worn when the aircraft was first delivered to Purdue University. A re-launch after financial difficulties in 1993 and renaming of British Air Ferries to separate it from the days of car ferries resulted in British World Airlines and a brand new livery. The honour of becoming the first in the new G-OBW* range was afforded to the one time Dan Air series 518FG G-BDAT originally built for Court Line as G-AYOR. Sold and re-registered as 9L-LDL, the aircraft got as far as Malta where it remained in full BWA livery and titles.
