FS2004 Tinmouse II Boeing 737-244 Zambian Airways Textures only, registration 9J-JOY. Zambian Airways (callsign Mines) began as Mines Air Services Limited (MAS) and was incorporated in 1948 as a subsidiary of Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM). As part of the process of privatization of the mines, MAS was disposed of by the Government of Zambia on 28 April 1998. MAS then subsequently purchased two new Raytheon Beech 1900D Airliner aircraft from Raytheon Credit Corporation (RCC) later that year. The company began operating these two aircraft under its current name of Zambian Airways. They then acquired 2 Boeing 737-244's from Safair in October of 2006. This is one of those 2 737-244's, bearing the registration 9J-JOY. The textures in this repaint are 32-bit. FS2004 BAC One-Eleven 401 LANICA (Merpati Basic) Textures only. After losing the use of their own aircraft while being repaired after a hijacking, Lanica leased in from other airlines to cover. Intially it operated a CourtLine series 500 but soon replaced that machine with this American Airlines series 401 that had been leased to Merpati Airlines of Indonesia. Still in the Indonesian carriers residual livery it was in use from March 1972 until March 1973 when it was sold on to Bahamasair as VP-BDI.Requires the BAC One-Eleven 400 model by David Maltby (here).
