FSX/P3D Advanced Landing Ground A-11, Saint Lambert Normandy, France, June, 1944

This freeware scenery package attempts to represent Advanced Landing Ground A-11 of the US 9th AAF. ALG A-11 was one of 29 Advanced Landing Grounds that dotted the Cotentin Peninsula. Known as Advanced Landing Ground "A-11", the airfield consisted of a single 5000' (1500 m) Square-Mesh Track/Compressed Earth runway aligned 05/23. In addition, tents were used for billeting and also for support facilities; an access road was built to the existing road infrastructure; a dump for supplies, ammunition, and gasoline drums, along with a drinkable water and minimal electrical grid for communications and station lighting. [Excerpted from Wikipedia]. Construction was started on July 27th, 1944. The initial operational date was August 6th, 1944 as the airfield was vacated by September 5th, 1944.

Bi-plane flight in Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Take off in a Boeing Navy N2S-2 Kaydet from Fun-Air airport in Van Dyne, perform a touch-and-go at Vette Blust,
then through 3 hoops and land at Wittman Regl airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The big show in Oshkosh takes place in late July every year.
Perhaps 500,000 people and many aircraft show up for it.
Note: There is an 8-pack of Oshkosh missions available in Simviation.

F28-1000 Horizon Textures

Seattle-based Horizon Air was the last U.S. airline to operate the Fokker F28 regional jet. The F28-1000 entered service with Horizon in the 1980s. The Mk-1000 operated several routes on the Pacific Coast and in the Pacific Northwest, providing jet service to high-density markets. In 2003, Horizon retired their last F28. The DXT3 textures in this package represent the Horizon F28 as it appeared in the last years before its retirement. Model by Project Fokker Jetline. Repaint by Eugene Douglas.
This is a repaint only. Required aircraft may be downloaded for free from the Project Fokker website.
