Oksboel Shooting Area EKOL, Denmark
Oksboel Shooting Area EKOL, Denmark (Category: FSX > Scenery)

I was getting tired of in FSX not having any scenery to practice weapon delivery (fx.TacPack from VRS) here in Denmark, so I decided, to try to make the Oksboel (Oksbøl) shooting area, which are used by the Danish military (air force too) for weapons training. I made it photo real and with autogen vegetation (autogen annotator) and it contents some homemade targets: 10, 7, 5m shooting targets, SAM missile launchers, SAM radar and tank made of Bob Lacy.

FS2004 Effect-Sound Option FOR FSX Effects. In most of my FS2004 addons I have configured some FSX effects. Effects like Wing guns, Explosion or 16inch ship gun comes now with proper sound in FS9. Mostly they worked visually in FS2004 but the sound which is linked to the effects did not work. Now I found a method which makes that effect sounds also functional in FS2004. Of course this option works also with those effects from other aircrafts and ships. Credits to all the persons who made that effects and sounds. My work is only to make it functional in FS2004. RAF Aldermaston (ICAO X2AM) is a former Royal Air Force station located 8 miles (13 km) east of Newbury, Berkshire and 9.8 miles (15.8 km) southwest of Reading, Berkshire, England. Originally built as an RAF Bomber Command airfield during 1941-1942, Aldermaston was transferred to the United States Army Air Forces in August 1942. Placed under the jurisdiction of Eighth Air Force, it was home to several Douglas C-47 Skytrain Troop Carrier Groups. It was transferred to Ninth Air Force in 1943 primarily as a Troop Carrier Command base. Returned to RAF Control at the end of 1945, it was used by Technical Training Command before being placed on Care and Maintenance. In 1946, it was transferred to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and used by BOAC aircraft for training. Also used by the Ministry of Aircraft Production for Supermarine Spitfire assembly and flight testing, the airfield closed in 1950 and the site became home of the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment (later the Atomic Weapons Establishment) from 1950.

RAF Blyton is a former Royal Air Force airfield in located 4.8 miles (7.7 km) north east of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, and 9.6 miles (15.4 km) of south Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England. It was built in 1942 and was heavily used during the Second World War but it was used little after the early stages of the Cold War. Source: Wikipedia If you you would like a more detailed history of the Station I would suggest the following website which is a fantastic source of information for all the Lincolnshire airfields. Most of those involved in the production of sceneries have adopted the Bones Aviation pages method of identifying their airfields. The ICAO code is X2BL Although the runways, peri track and hangars are pretty much as was; the remaining buildings used are just eye candy and there just to give a flavour of a wartime station.
