Swiss Airfields

A small but growing collection of small GA airfields in switzerland to improve on the very limited fidelity of the fields included in FS2020. The fields are all in one package (with separate BGLs for each airfield) to reduce community folder clutter and dependency issues for common assets. At this stage the focus is on function and accuracy, and not (yet) on custom objects eye candy. FSX/P3Dv3/P3Dv4 Ozark Airlines Fairchild FH-227B 1970 Textures

This is a repaint of the FH-227B in Ozark Airlines colors. The freeware FSX Native FH-227B by Bjorn Kesten is needed for this repaint. It was converted from Mike Stone's and Tom Gibson's models. Bjorn's versions of the F-27 and FH-227 are all 64 bit (P3D v4, FSW) compatible. Ozark operated 21 Fairchild FH-227s from 1966 to 1981. The FH-227B, which was the U.S. produced stretched version of the F-27. It replaced the older piston engined aircraft in the Ozark fleet in 1968. This particular repaint is of N4216, which was with Ozark from 1966 to 1975. The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3 & v4.

FSX/P3D Aero Virgin Islands DC-3 1983 Textures

This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Aero Virgin Islands colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Aero Virgin Islands began operations in the spring of 1977. The fleet was basically all DC-3s. Their route network consisted of flights to St. Thomas, and Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and San Juan, in Puerto Rico. They went out of business in September 1989. This is a repaint of N28346, which was destroyed in that Hurricane. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on P3D v3. It should also work on FSX & FSX-SE.

RAF Manby, UK

Work started at RAF Manby in the mid thirties as part of the RAF Expansion scheme, however, it was not a typical station of the time in so much as it only supported two grass runways. This did not detract from it contribution to the war effort however. Opening in 1938 the unit will be remembered by many as a training station for armament officers, armourers swell as aircrew such as air gunners and bomb aimers. The station continued with its training role until its closure in 1974.
