SHORAN Gauge
SHORAN Gauge (Category: FS Gauges > FS Gauges)
0.06Mb (86 downloads)
A SHORAN gauge for the panels of the B-45 Tornado, late WW2 B-17s and B-24s, Korean War B-29s and possibly other early Cold War American bombers. It was made in and for FS9 but should work in any sim that handles XML gauges, or can be placed on a 2D panel in any sim. It doesn't actually work, since there are no SHORAN transmitting stations in FS9, but it can add a bit of authenticity to the panels of appropriate planes. The the instrument face is modeled on a photo of one in a Korean War B-29.

F6F-5_HELLCAT_VF-12
F6F-5_HELLCAT_VF-12 (Category: CFS2 > Aircraft)
11.61Mb (86 downloads)
Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat VF-12 Unit: VF-12 USS Randolph (CV-15) February 1945 Pilot: Lt. Hamilton McWhorter III The F6F-5 Hellcat was a further refinement of the successful F6F-3. It had a strengthened airframe, a closer cowl that eliminate the cheek bulges, added permanent rocket pylons under wings, a flat bullet proof front windscreen simplified the front canopy giving a better undistorted image through the gun sight especially at night, and the small rear windows were deleted with a rear view mirror installed as these windows added nothing to the rear view. (Some early dash 5 aircraft still had the rear windows before they were eliminated during production.) The camouflage for all of the F6F-5’s was changed to overall sea blue. It was built in the largest number of Hellcats, some 7,870 being produced. Simple, rugged, and deadly, yet easy to fly, the Hellcat was another product of the Grumman Iron Works. It was larger, heavier, faster, and more powerful than Grumman's F4F Wildcat, and the first American fighter to exceed the performance of the Mitsubishi Zero. Its immense 18-cylinder, 2,000 horsepower radial engine gave it the power to dictate the terms of engagement. Its speed, maneuverability, high-altitude capability, and typical Grumman toughness made it a winner against all comers. FSX/P3D/FS2004 Ozark Airlines DC-9-10 final livery 1981 Textures
FSX/P3D/FS2004 Ozark Airlines DC-9-10 final livery 1981 Textures
3.41Mb (86 downloads)
This is a repaint of the DC-9-10 in final Ozark Airlines colors. The freeware DC-9-10 by Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations (George Arana) native FSX conversion of Erick Cantu's DC-9-10 is needed for this repaint. N975Z was purchased new from the Douglas Corporation in October 1967. It was operated by Ozark Airlines until the TWA takeover in 1986. The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. I have also included DXT3 textures for FS2004 users.

Messerschmitt Bf109G-6/AS 2./JG3
Messerschmitt Bf109G-6/AS 2./JG3 (Category: CFS2 > Aircraft)
12.36Mb (86 downloads)
Messerschmitt Bf109G-6/AS by Design Team Daedalus Unit: 2./JG3 Burg bei Brandenburg, May 1944 Pilot: Usually flown by Fw. Horst Petzschler, but was shot down on May 30 being flown by Fw. Otto Büsser (KIA) I./JG3 and II./JG3 were routinely assigned to fly top cover hence the light blue RLM 76 overall camouflage thought appropriate for such high altitude missions. The first G-6/AS aircraft reached frontline units in early April, 1944 - III/JG, I/JG5 and II/JG11. I/JG3 received them in May and II/JG/27 got theirs in June, along with a few going to NJGr.10. There is no "standard" Bf 109G-6/AS, as the production included conversions of basic G-6 models and different radio equipment, oil cooler types, antenna masts, etc. were available at different times during the production runs. So each model we have created has its own unique features. Pstrany developed the models using Paul Rebuffat's Messerschmitt model - with permission - as a starting framework and updated the shape, and added a plethora of details, new parts, and ideas. Pstrany also developed the models for the drop tanks, weapons and racks. Captain Kurt created paints for each, the 2D instrument panel, the individual .dp files, the air files and the aircraft.cfg files. Mav SCASM edited each model so that they have animated wing slats, drop tanks, and other features, as well as optimizing models for the best possible frame rates. Mav also developed the idea for the 2d panel to be offset for the Revi gun sight to match the CFS2 reticle. We have all benefited from the assistance and guidance of others in the community. Special thanks to Wolfi and Huub Vink for their kind assistance and to all who have contributed their knowledge directly and indirectly.

Emsdale CNA4, Canada
Emsdale CNA4, Canada (Category: Prepar3d > Scenery)
2.66Mb (86 downloads)
Emsdale CNA4 for P3D. This is a self-contained scenery package to correct location and add some reality to the small airport of Emsdale CNA4, 250 km north of Toronto. This is a small airport with an unlikely concrete hangar. It was busier in the past, but is is pretty calm now. This airport has two claims to fame: First, it was used as a training camp in the 40s for Norwegian pilots, mechanics and other personnel for the war effort and Second, it was quite busy during the G8 Summit meeting that took place at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville. The big aircraft (Obama's and Putin's) landed in North Bay and they were rushed to Deerhust by helicopter, but all security aircraft, ground radar and other security aparatus was located at Emsdale. The scenery includes traffic of a Piper Cub but it doesn't seem to work. I used the default Piper Cub, so there are no planes to install. Made by Fern Marques.
