FS2004 Lockheed L-1649A Starliner Prototype, v1.1. The Starliner was the last of the long-range piston-engine airliners. Designed to fly Los Angeles-London or Paris-Tokyo in around 20 hours non-stop, it established numerous long-distance records, many of them still current today. Providing accommodation for twenty-six first-class and forty-five tourist-class passengers, the Starliner entered service with TWA in May 1957. Other operators were Air France and Lufthansa. C/n 1001, registration N1649 (later N60968) first flew on 10 October 1956 and continued to serve with Lockheed Aircraft Corporation until 1970. The core Starliner team consists of Manfred Jahn (model), Hansjoerg Naegele (panel), Roland Berger (flight tests, dynamics, exhaust effects), and C.J. Kaeser (research). FS2004/2002 Beechcraft D18, SATA - Sociedade Açoreana de Transportes Aéreos, Lda. 1947. The Airline is now known as SATA Air Açores and was the first in Portugal to have a civil, commercial registry aircraft, CS-TAA. Being it's first aircraft, baptised Açor (Azor), and after only two months of service, on the 5th of August 1947, the aircraft was lost at sea, while flying from S.Miguel to Santa Maria (there were no survivors). No colour photographs exist, but with special thanks to Mr. Gualter Cordeiro's excellent memory (retired SATA Ops Manager), it was possible to recreate what was once forgotten. FS2002/FS2004 Whispercraft. Science Fiction Animation Plastic Model Series No.33. This aircraft is based on SF action movie "The 6th Day," in the 2000. Arnold Schwarzenegger played the owner of a small aircraft rental company specializing in VTOL "Whispercraft," advanced helicopter-like vehicles whose blades could be "fixed" in flight to function as conventional wings. Designed by the legendary conceptual artist Ron Cobb, the fictional "Whispercraft" were based on actual variable-wing VTOL concepts then under development by the U.S. government. As for this model, the transform can be done in the jet plane form and the helicopter form by "/" key. by Kazunori Ito.
