FSX - General Aviation -- Aeroworks ARX-6 Roadrunner - Version 2 The ARX-6 is a single-place Formula One pylon racing aircraft and is built to the specs of the International Formula 1 Air Racing association. Like all Formula One race planes, it is built around the Continental O-200. This is the same 100hp engine that barely powers a Cessna 150 to 100kts but on the small extremely lightweight and aerodynamic airframes of formula one racers the top aircraft can push 300mph. With very few instruments, and less than average ground handling, Formula One aircraft are very clean "no frills" machines that serve only one purpose - flying low, flying fast, and turning left. FSX-FS2004 Mustang P-51a On September 9, 1940, only 102 days after the contract had been signed, the NA-73X prototype was rolled out though still waiting for its engine. The new fighter was named Mustang by the British, and the first British version was designated Mustang I. As soon as it was available, the 1,120hp Allison V-171 0-39 power plant was installed, and engine and taxi tests began. By comparison, Mustangs with the Allison engine could outperform the Merlin-powered variants below 15,000 feet. When production of the Allison-engined Mustang ended, 1580 examples had been built. FS2004/2002 Vans Rv4 Soon after the single-seat RV-3 was introduced, it became obvious that a lot of people wanted to share their RV Grin with a friend. Van realized that he wasn't going to be able to talk them into building two RV-3s. He set out to design a two-place airplane that performed and handled as much like the RV-3 as possible. This was not as easy as just "stretching the RV-3." FS2004 Project Airbus A320-232 British Airways, registration G-EUUK. British Airways has been my international airline of choice all my life. It took me across the "pond" to Barcelona and back many times. What a great airline. So it may go without saying that painting this A320 in British Airways livery was a true pleasure and honor. I chose this particular airframe because it is one of the newer A320's in British Airways A320 fleet. It was delivered to BA in December of 2002. I also chose it for the interesting registration; G-EUUK. I saw that and thought.... EU for European Union and UK for....ok, well that's obvious, right? So, on the tail and the forward gear bay doors is are the letters "UK". Magic, no? I strived for accuracy and detail as much as my skills and tools would permit. I hope I have not failed any of you in that respect. Most of the textures in the repaint are 32-bit with no mipmaps. The wings are DXT3. If you need DXT3 textures, contact me and I'll send you them.
