The CF-105 Arrow was a mach 1.5+ interceptor intended to counter
the ever growing Soviet strategic bomber threat. Designed
in 1953, it was an incredible aircraft, with unmatched performance
in its day. Strangely it was cancelled after 5 production

nm. This futuristic concept could eventually be the Boeing 747
