Royal Aircraft Factory's S.E.5 Package
(Category: FS2004 > Vintage)
23.67Mb (2810 downloads)
The Royal Aircraft Factory's S.E.5.a went tooth and nail with the Sopwith Camel for the accolade of being the finest British fighting aeroplane of World War I. Designed by a team which included the legendary H. P. Folland, the first prototype was unveiled in December, 1916. The craft utilised a 150-HP Hispano-Suiza engine with a large, automotive-style radiator and truncated exhaust manifolds. The S.E.5.a was widely regarded as a tough opponent by the enemy and as a good friend in the air by its pilots. It was robust, fast, and very easy to fly. The aircraft remains extremely popular among early aviation history buffs and WWI aficionados, and replicas abound, in both full- and smaller-scale versions. Excellent reproductions of the plane can be seen in the films "The Aviator" and "Flyboys", but the best place to see the S.E.5.a in action is in the restored version of Howard Hughes' "Hell's Angels". Update for Vol. 1 Doherty's Difficult & Dangerous Approaches
(Category: FSX > Misc)
0.27Mb (1211 downloads)
This is an update for FSX of Volume one of
Doherty's Difficult & Dangerous Approaches. Contains a series of dangerous approaches.
I changed most of the aircraft to ones that
are default in FSX. I also changed a few
other things to my preferences. Like the
outside view to locked spot. All but the
first flight start on pause, as that is how
I changed things and left the aircraft
starting position almost exactly where the
original flights began. I don't have
permission for this update because I could
not contact Mr. Doherty. For that reason,
and other reasons, this may be the only
update that I do for his flights.
