FSX/P3D AH-1W Super Cobra Package
(Category: FSX > Helicopters)
12.66Mb (44152 downloads)
P3d/FSX Native AH-1W Super Cobra Package for FSX. The Super Cobra traces its lineage from the UH-1 Huey and was originally developed for the US Army in the mid-sixties. The AH-1W is a two-place, tandem-seat, twin-engine helicopter capable of land- or sea-based operations. During Operation Desert Storm, the AH-1W comprised less than 20% of the attack helicopter force deployed, yet flew more than 50% of the total attack force flight-hours. In the entire Desert Shield/ Desert Storm campaign, Super Cobras flew more than three times the number of hours per aircraft per month than any other attack helicopter. Armed with a M197 20mm turret gun, twin 5" or 2.75" rocket launchers and up to eight TOW, Hellfire, Sidewinder or Sidearm missiles the Super Cobra was an attack helicopter to be feared. 3.19Mb (305 downloads)
The texture.616 folder in this download contains the alternate textures for the TR Alpha Meteor F3....the camo textures shown in the download thumbnail. These were intended to be included with the aircraft download. but were overlooked. To use these textures simply replace the contents of the current F3 texture folder with the files from the texture.616 folder.

Junkers Ju290
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
4.30Mb (4681 downloads)
FS2004/FSX Junkers Ju290
The Ju 290 replaced the Fw 200 as long-range reconnaissance aircraft in the autumn of 1943, the crews were given a far more capable aircraft than the old Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor. But only 65 Ju 290s were built, and the total number of aircraft available was never higher than about 20. TR/Alpha Meteor F8
(Category: CFS2 > Aircraft)
7.50Mb (1356 downloads)
This is my adaptation of AlphaSim's freeware FS9 Meteor F8 to CFS2. While she retains her original textures (85 and 245 Sqdrns), she has new AIR, DP and CFG files which allow her to perform properly in CFS2. (She's 'Warp Bug Proof' and will dogfight aggressively.) And while she is not multi-LOD, she gives high FPS performance. The downside to this aircraft is that her belly and wing tanks are part of the model, as opposed to payloads. The spoiler key (/) operates the airbrake. The sound is aliased to Lear45, which is included.

SMZO - Zorg en Hoop Airport, Suriname, South America.
(Category: FSX > Scenery)
1.87Mb (674 downloads)
Modified SMZO to reflect the changes made to the runway in 2010. The runway asphalt now has the correct lenght and width and includes the displaced treshold. General hangar buildings now placed in their approximate locations. The sand part at the end of the runway was added and the ATC tower and view have been moved to their real location.
It's not really pretty or fancy but it is a much better representation than the default SMZO in FSX.
Only tested in FSX Acceleration.

F-14 Sounds (Fixed)
(Category: FS Sounds > Flight Simulator Sounds)
36.63Mb (6090 downloads)
Let's try this again....This is a soundfile for any freeware F-14. I wasn't happy with the stock sounds that came with the IRIS F-14. They were not realistic enough for me. So, I made a mix of various bites from different aircraft to make what I think is one of the best soundtracks to any F-14 Tomcat freeware. I just took some clips from various sound files I had with different aircraft (starting with the F-14 soundpack that came with the IRIS F-14). I think you will enjoy this mix. I left the shreak of the intake ramps at idle, but as the engines spool up- in real life- the shreak is replaced with the whine of the Pratts going through the rpm range until they hit military power. I changed the rumble so it is heard at the lower end of the mid-range, as in real life. When you push the throttles into afterburner, you can hear the power that these engines make. Enjoy and happy landings. NOTE: I do not take any credit for any of the sound files in this folder, I just took freeware sounds from different aircraft and compiled them!
