This is a repaint for the Wilco Augusta/Bell 609 as Marine One. The current VH-3 helicopters used by HMX-1 are aging and in 2002 the VXX competition was started to find a replacement. The helicopter selected was the Lockheed Martin VH-71 Kestrel, a derivative of the AgustaWestland AW101. In April 2009, the VH-71 program was cancelled due to cost overruns. In February 2010, the Navy issued a request for information to the aviation industry. The V-22 Osprey is also being considered and as the Augusta/Bell 206 is being released for Commercial use in 2010, hopefully it will too. Repaint by L.T. 'patchz' Davis.

This scenery adds the new terminal and taxiways, and rebuilds the aprons and runway to provide a fully functioning AI traffic extension for runway 14. The airport is assigned a mean elevation, allowing it to blend naturally with the surrounding terrain, accurate landclass is provided for the entire island, and an optional GA traffic file is provided. This scenery is most effective when used in combination with the scenery by Max Kraus (instructions and links included in the readme file). It is optimized to fit seamlessly with FTX Global/Vector and should also be fully functional in all FSX configurations. The airport is updated to reflect current satellite imagery and positioning. Scenery was created using Airport Design Editor X v1.61.5298, SBuilderX 3.13, and the FSX Object Placement Tool. Scenery objects were added and modified from stock FSX scenery to resemble as closely as possible the actual airport. The FSX apron lights included are from the set created by Jim Dhaenens.

Photoreal: Niihau, the westernmost of the inhabited Hawaiian Islands, is privately owned and used primarily to raise cattle. It's small population works the ranch. Niihau has no airport of its own. You get there by taking off from Kauai and flying west. I'd recommend using Port Allen (PAK). Unless visibility is limited, you can see Niihau across the water from the airport. Just take off and fly a heading of 260 degrees. However, a saved flight which places you just off Niihau's shore is included in the package should you need it. --Created by Rich Sorochak

FSX/P3D 3&4 Boeing 787-8 Japan Airlines (JAL) package with new enhanced VC. Japan Airlines is Japan's flag carrier and it's second largest airline behind ANA. JAL currently operates a fleet of 25 Boeing 787-8 and are awiting delivery of a further 4.. The wonderful Boeing 787-8 from TDS will be enjoyed by many more people who do not know how to install a VC into a FSX native model. The VC is the Alejandro Rojas Lucena/FSND fantastic revised Boeing 737-800 VC model blended with Ken Wiggington's work on the default 737 VC to make it more resemble a 787.
