The final Spitfire variant, the Mk 24, was similar to the Mk 22 except that it had an increased fuel capacity over its predecessors, with two fuel tanks of 33 gal (150 l) each installed in the rear fuselage. There were also zero-point fittings for rocket projectiles under the wings. All had the larger "Spiteful" tail units: modifications were also made to the trim tab gearings in order to perfect the F Mk 24's handling characteristics. The F Mk 24 achieved a maximum speed of 454 mph (731 km/h), and could reach an altitude of 30,000 ft (9,100 m) in eight minutes, putting it on a par with the most advanced piston-engined fighters of the era. The Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow was a project for a hight speed (mach 2) and altitude fighter launched by the end of the fifties. Original aircraft design by P McDonell. FD and VC modifications, panels for wide and standard screen, gauges and GPWS callout by Philippe Wallaert. See instructions in the readme.txt file. Nice flights!

freeware gauges and custom gauges partially based on default
gauges. Version 2 features movable yoke, new overhead engine

main landmarks of Africa, the spectacular Victoria Falls of
the Zambezi River are missing in out-of-the-box FS. With a local
SRTM LOD9 mesh as a base (included) and the help of satellite
imagery, maps, Ground2K4, and GMax, we did our best to model
a realistic representation of the falls, the river, and the
gorge, complete with custom waterfall and spray effects. The
portion of the Zambezi covered in this project extends from
E25 to E26.5 (more than 100km), with the falls at its center.
