Denel Atlas AH-2 Rooivalk FSX / P3Dv3
(Category: FSX > Helicopters)
83.96Mb (1737 downloads)
FSX / P3Dv3 update Denel Atlas AH-2 Rooivalk. Previously designated Atlas CSH-2,it is a South African anti-tank helicopter manufactured by the company Denel Aerospace Systems thanks to the support obtained in collaborations with Western companies and the experiences acquired in the South African Border War. The Rooivalk was the result of the need of the previous South African army to obtain a combat helicopter prepared for the conditions of sub-Saharan Africa and especially the fight against tanks, of which many were lived in the South African Border War. Thanks to technology transfers made by several European countries, the United States and mainly Israel; South African companies such as Denel acquired the necessary technology for the construction and production of this type of aircraft. The first prototype flew in 1985; but the series devices arrived too late to intervene in the conflict in Namibia, as the first series device took off on November 17, 1997; already when the war was over. At that time the South African Air Force had acquired 12 units to equip two squadrons. On the excellent model of Johan Jacobs to whom the merits go, I have made changes in VC Cockpit textures and a 2d panel has been designed, sounds, rotor textures and other details have been changed, tested in FSX up to P3Dv3. Enjoyment....

Metrojet Flight 9268 was an international chartered passenger flight, operated by Russian airline Kogalymavia (branded as Metrojet), which crashed in northern Sinai on 31 October 2015 at 06:13 EST (04:13 UTC), following departure from Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, Egypt, en route to Pulkovo Airport, Saint Petersburg, Russia. The aircraft, an Airbus A321-231 (EI-ETJ), was carrying 217 passengers and seven crew members. This repaint I have done to honor their memory. RIP the crew and passengers of METROJET 9268. Simulated Aircraft Bubble Sextant

FS2004
Simulated Aircraft Bubble Sextant As
travel by air developed and matured, navigation
over long distances also developed and improved.
In the early days, however, air navigation essentially
used ship navigation techniques adapted for
aircraft. Without "landmarks", the navigators
used Ded Reckoning (DR) and the stars. Celestial
or Astronomical Navigation provides a means
of obtaining Lines of Position (LOPs) from the
stars. Crossing LOPs will fix a position. It
requires a chart, and a planned course on that
chart, with waypoints specified by Latitude
and Longitude, an assumed time of arrival at
each waypoint, and stars (including the Sun,
Moon, or planets) in view. In the 1940s, extensive
tables of star positions were made available
to air navigators to be used with sextants to
obtain these LOPs. In the tables, all times
involved are GMT. This data is available from
the Internet in "ready to use" form. This gauge
simulates the sextant, and the process by which
one obtains a LOP, or crossing LOPs to obtain
a position, or fix. Can be used with any FS2004
aircraft. Includes comprehensive browser-based
manual and references. By Dave Bitzer and Mark
Beaumont. File name: DC3_BBSX.ZIP. 991K
