It is the Orlando area's secondary commercial airport, but is farther away from downtown Orlando and the major theme parks (Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Florida and SeaWorld Orlando). FS2004/FSX Supermarine Spitfire Floatplane. The floatplane fighter version of Supermarine Spitfire was initiated during 1942, based on a Mk VB airframe using floats designed by Supermarine (as Supermarine Type 355). Converted by Folland Aircraft, with a four-bladed propeller and Merlin 45 engine, tropical filter and extra ventral fin. First flown October 12, 1942. Two further Mk VB conversions by Folland were made during 1943. All three went to Egypt in late-1943 and were flown from Great Bitter Lake, but not used operationaly. Gmax by A.F.Scrub

CFS/CFS2/FS2000 P-51D "Bunnie", Lieutenant Roscoe Brown, Jr. This aircraft represents Lieutenant Roscoe Brown, Jr.'s P-51D "Bunnie", of the 100th squadron, 332nd fighter group. This was a squadron made up of all black pilots, members of the famed "Tuskegee Airmen,", black pilots in WWII who reportedly never lost a bomber in combat. The 332nd fighter group served as bomber escort in the Italian campaign. Lieutenant Roscoe Brown earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with eight Oak Leaf Clusters. He is especially famed for, on March 24, 1945, he, along with Charles Brantly and Earl Lane, was able to shoot down an Me-262 in combat.
