FSX/P3D AT-802 Single Engine Air Tanker Texture Pack
(Category: FSX > Props)
89.20Mb (1613 downloads)
This is a high definition repaint pack for the FSN wheeled version of the AT-802. The AT-802 SEAT or Single Engine Air Tankers have been used widely across the world. Mainly in North America and Australia. The AT-802 is capable of operating on dirt strips and remote refill locations due to it's small size and ability to work from rough strips. This capability is widely used in Australia. The AT-802 is used widely in the US as a contracted initial attack aircraft for the USFS. But it is largly overshadowed by the large contracted air tankers the USFS uses. It's 2 competitors in North America are mainly the the Bombardier/Viking CL-415/215T Super Scooper and the Grumman/Marsh S-2F3AT Turbo Tracker flown by Cal Fire. The S-2 and CL-415s both carry more than 1,000 gallons. Making the AT-802's 800 gallon capacity the smallest of the category. It is also slower than it's twin engine competitors. Still a viable platform, used in pairs in tandem to add to the effectiveness of drops similar to the use of the CL-415, the 802s can also be used as lead / air attack platforms. More powerful versions of the AT-802 variants are currently being flight tested. The new derivative, the AT-1002 is larger and more powerful 802 was first flight tested in late 2013. It is still in development, but will be capable of carrying 1,000 gallons of retardant/water and carry nearly twice the fuel of the 802s currently. Making the 1002 closer in performance to the other aircraft in it's category. This repaint pack represents 8 liveries for several operators in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Repaints by Nicholas Mitchell.

FSX/FS2004 Package B-36 Bomber With Parasite Fighter XF-85
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
16.76Mb (1613 downloads)
FSX/Acceleration/FS2004 Package Curtiss B-36 bomber with parasite fighter McDonnell XF-85 Goblin. This package honours Kazunori Ito's great work and the incredible US concept of equipping a long range bomber with a tiny inceptor within the bombbay. The fighter, hanging on a trapez, was swang out from the bombay and after it was released it should defend the bomber far from the home base. After the fight it was proposed that the fighter returns to the bomber, connecting its hook onto the trapez. This concept was successfully tested with a B-29 but was never done with a B-36. The package contains three models: A) Kazunori Ito's original B-36 with a static XF-85 within the bombbay with animated gun turrets and bombbay. B) Erwin Welker's reworked model of Ito's B-36 with the animation of the XF-85 coming out from the bombbay and flying away. This version is just for flying because of avoiding exceeding the vertices limit of the simulator inside parts of the B-36 (gear, gun turrets and crew) are removed. This version has a VC. C)Kazunori Ito's XF-85, upgradet for FSX by Michael Pook. All original models are made by Kazunori Ito, model rework of the B-36 with the XF-85 animations and all camera definitions by Erwin Welker, all panel rework with FSX-compatible gauges by Michael Pook. Gauges by different authors. Package by Erwin Welker

Mig-35 update
(Category: FSX > Military)
0.95Mb (1613 downloads)
This is an update for FSX of the Mig-35 prototype by Tuomas Narvainen. I have updated the flight dynamics, given it a 2D panel, added gauges to the basic virtual cockpit, added smoke effects and afterburner effects. You need the original aircraft for this to work because Tuomas did not want any updates to include the whole aircraft

Pearl Harbor due to a shortage of modern fighters. Many of these were
shipped to the Pacific where - with P-39Ds - they were used in the
defense of New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, New Guinea, and Australia.
