FS2004 Piaggio P-149D Luftwaffe Textures only. The Piaggio P-149 is a trainer-laison aircraft. It first flew in June 19th, 1953. I'ts a development of the P-148 model, with increased seat capacity, tricycle retractable landing gear and a more powerful engine, featuring a three-bladed constant speed propeller. It was mainly used by German Luftwaffe (P-149D) as a training aircraft. These textures, for the celebrative last Luftwaffe's P-149D, require the original aircraft by Mario Noriega (here). Experamental aircraft made entireley of 2002 series Aluminium, for purpose of testing and developing of airframe design. 2002 series Aluminium is a synthetic material with light alloy characteristics. The material was found to be to brittle at cold temperatures, and displayed thermoplastic beahavior at warmer temperatures making it unsuitable for airframe design. 2.3MB

FSX/FS2004 HA-1112 M Buchon In 1942, the Spanish government arranged a manufacturing licence with Messerschmitt AG to build the Bf 109G-2. Spain produced its own models with different engines.. The final variant was the HA-1112-M1L Buchón (Pouter). It first flew on 29 March 1954 with a 1,600 hp Rolls-Royce Merlin 500-45 engine and Rotol propeller, both purchased as surplus from the UK. This engine had a chin intake, that altered the lines of the Bf 109's airframe. Due to their longevity, Buchóns have appeared in several war films masquerading as Bf 109Es and Gs.
