FSX/Accel/FS2004/P3d.V3 Package battlecruiser HMS Hood. Laid down in 1916, commissioned in 1920, she remained the largest and most powerful warship in the world for twenty years and was the proud of the Royal Navy. Together with the modern battleship Prince of Wales she was sent in May 1941 to intercept Germanys new battleship Bismarck and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. In the battle of Denmark Strait Hood got an deadly hit, exploded and sank within few minutes and lost her whole crew except three men. The package contains two pilotabe vessels, one is with a circling BF-109 and an ai-model. The pilotable version has plenty of animations which can be controled by a switchboard or with the common key commands. Twenty eight camera views let you explore most of the decks. The panel provides 2D views in eight directions plus a virtual view from the flybridge. The ai-model is supposed to be used with the great tool aicarriers2. FS2004-Kawasaki KI64 Rob-High altitude fighter. The Ki.64 had a contra-rotating propeller coupled to tandem mounted engines and equipped with an evaporative cooling system. One engine in the front and the second rear of the cockpit. First flight in Dec 1943;the prototype was damaged during testing. FS2002 Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base (NKP). Situated in the far northeast corner of Thailand right across the Mekong River from Laos, NKP was the smallest, remotest, and most primitive of the Thai airbases utilized by the US Air Force. Many of the operations that were conducted at NKP were top-secret. NKP was the headquarters of “Task Force Alpha”, the underground command center directing “Arc Light” bombing of the Ho Chi Minh trail. The 56th Air Commando Wing employed a variety of fixed wing aircraft and helicopters for interdiction, close air support, psychological warfare, search and rescue, forward air control, and clandestine insertion and extraction of special operations personnel in Laos and North Vietnam. One of the key covert missions conducted at NKP was “Operation Igloo White”, which involved the planting and monitoring of electronic sensors along the Ho Chi Minh trail. Air America also used NKP as a base to supply the various hill tribes in Laos. This is the fourth in a series of Vietnam War era Thai airbase models. (It was preceded by Ubon, Udorn, and Korat.) FS2002 NORTH AMERICAN P51D MUSTANG Aircraft No 330 is depicted in the colours of the South African Airforce Flying Cheetas No 2 Squadron serving during the Korean War. The aircraft was allocated to Lt Mickey Rorke. He was killed on 15 May 1951 when his plain crashed after takeof. The aircraft is fully animated.
