1.86Mb (1328 downloads)
FS2002 Takhli RTAFB as it appeared in the late 1960s at the height of the Vietnam War. During those years, Takhli was the home of the USAFs 355th Tactical Fighter Wing, which flew F-105 Thunderchiefs and RB/EB-66 Destroyers. A large number of KC-135 tankers were also stationed at Takhli. In December 1970 the 355th TFW was deactivated and the airbase was closed. However, Takhli was reopened in April 1972 and served as a major base of combat operations during the Linebacker I and II campaigns. This is the sixth in a series of Vietnam War era Thai airbase models. The assistance of ?Bangkok Bob? Vaughn and other Takhli veterans in constructing this model is sincerely appreciated. Note: This scenery requires installation of the trees_v3.zip object library by Gerrish Gray. George Knowles. 1.7MB

Branson Airport (KBBG), Branson, Missouri
6.02Mb (1328 downloads)
FSX Branson Airport (KBBG), Branson, Missouri (MO). This project adds a new Branson Airport, which opened in May 2009, and is a privately developed commercial airport. The construction of the airport, which involved the flattening of several Ozark Mountains, is claimed to be the largest earthmoving project in Missouri history. As a result, the airport actually sits on a manmade plateau, surrounded by rolling hills. The airport uses the ICAO identifier BBG, however, the airlines use the IATA code BKG. The terminal, hangar, FBO, and cars were added and modified from stock FSX scenery, using the FSX Object Tool, to resemble as closely as possible the actual airport. By Carlyle Sharpe.

Delivered new to Ethiopia in 1976, this aircraft, registered ET-AGD, was used by Count C-G von Rosen to airdrop relief supplies to isolated communities, in Ethiopia, in the late 1970's. Having been stored between 1982 and 1987, it was returned to Sweden taking up its current marks and continuing to to fly with Halle-Hunnebergs Flygklubb in Linkoping. Painted on to John Woodward's MFI-15 model, I have included the default Cessna 172 panel as well as the original panel, as there was no 2D panel included in the original package.
