This project is a port of my FSX release of the the new airport (FHSH) on St. Helena Island. This scenery provides more accurate coastlines and roads, as well as corrected landclass based on the latest available satellite imagery. Flight plans are provided for the proposed commercial service to St. Helena, and some additional GA and military flights to the island are added as well. The FS2004 St. Helena (FHSH) airport was created by aligning master plans for the airport with current satellite data and by studying many of the pictures that have been posted as the airport has taken shape. The official opening of the real airport on May 21, 2016, has been pushed back for more field tests due to challenging crosswinds. Updates were created or rebuilt in a manner which carefully aligns airport data with current satellite imagery. Scenery was created using Airport Design Editor 9 v1.67.5684 and SBuilder. Scenery objects were added and modified from stock FS9 scenery to resemble as closely as possible the actual airports.

The VLA or "Jansky Array", managed by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) consists of 27 independent radio telescope dishes, each with a diameter of 82 feet and weight of over 200 tons. Each antenna is found along the three arms of a track shaped in a Y configuration measuring 13 miles long. Using the rail tracks that follow each of these arms the antennas can be physically relocated to a number of prepared positions. At one point, the arms intersect with U.S. Route 60 which passes right through the middle of the array. It has been featured in numerous films, such as Armageddon, Independence Day, Terminator Salvation, a Bon Jovi music video, and was featured most prominently -and correctly- in the Carl Sagan novel Contact, as well as the film of the same name. Also updated is the closest airport to the VLA - Magdalena, NM - N29. It's a small dirt strip a few miles to the east, between Socorro and the VLA. It serves as a nice staging area for flights to the VLA. Includes a helipad startup location with NM99 ident. Scenery by Jason L. Terry.

Tested on Windows XP and Windows 7. This download adds airfield markers and ICAO id's found in FSX, and overlays them on Google Earth. This file is for South America. It contains the following countries: Argentina...Bolivia...Brazil...Chile...Colombia...Ecuador...French Guiana...Guyana...Paraguay...Peru ...Suriname...Uruguay. They can be installed individually or in one go. There is also seperate files with a list of basic airfield location details. i.e: EGBB Birmingham Airport. Birmingham. N52* 27.23' W1* 44.88' alt325. Updated CFS Blohm und Voss P.212.03 "Strahljager" ("Jet Fighter") The P.212.03 was Blohm und Voss entry into the Emergency Fighter Competition to take advantage of the new He S 011 jet engine. Three prototypes were ordered and construction began in May 1945. The first aircraft was to make its first flight in August and the second aircraft was to be ready by September 1945. Of course, the end of the war ended all construction.
