Douglas D-558-2 achieved Mankind's first Mach 2 on November 20, 1953. I've been longing for aircraft since I was a kid, but somehow I got to know D-558-2 six months ago. The reason was that the glory of Chuck Yeager and Bell X-1 was so dazzling that I couldn't see D-558-2. And Albert Scott Crossfield and Douglas D-558-2, who achieved the world's first Mach 2, became my heroes alongside the X-1. The very elegant streamlined design of D-558-2 is very beautiful. It's a very perfect design! The triangular canopy glass is small and the pilot's face appears to be trapped. What a small and unique cockpit. What does the landscape from this cockpit look like? And I was excited to see the powerful take-off photo of D-558-2 using JATO(Takeoff support rocket unit). I wanted to reproduce these in FSX. This model is D558-2 number 3 and is a hybrid of turbojet and rocket engine. I dedicate this model for the great history of aircraft. FSDS v3.5 model by uenoshing. We have not confirmed the operation other than FSX ACCELERATION. Edit: Works in P3D too.

This is an example of the Schweizer SGS 1-26C glider which was essentially a SGS 1-26B that could be kit-built. Initially when Schweizer introduced the SGS 1-26 in 1954 it was intended to restricted to kits however most of the ships now flying in the US were factory built. This sim model will work well with both FSX SP2 and P3D V3. Simply unzip the Schweizer_SGS1-26C_287 folder into your airplane folder of FSX or P3D. THIS PACKAGE IS DEDICATED TO SGT JOHNNY JOHNSON the last British survivor of the Dambuster raid on the Ruhr Dams 17 May 1943. It has been a great honor for me to be involved in providing simulation video to illustrate an interview on the Sorpe Dam Raid for the new Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln to be opened in October 2015. The Paints for AJ-Q and AJ-T are by Koos van Menen of the Netherlands who also provided the droppable Upkeep, the Flak at the Hamm Railway yards and rearward firing guns for the Lancaster. The Howden and Derwent Dam walls and towers by John Young. Saved flights are provided to sim the event AND to easily locate the Derwent and Sorpe Dams. Takla Lake and Takla Landing is located in the central northern area of British Columbia Canada north east of Smithers BC. The area was once the eastern landing for the ferry into the Klondike gold rush. This scene is of a fictitious fuel dumb with a basic interpretation of a real storage compound across the road. There is a fuel trigger associated with the dock. this scenery requires ORBX FTX-NA PFJ "Pacific Fjords"
