FS2004 ATL 98 Carvair Ansett-ANA VH-INM Textures only. Built a C-54E-10-DO Skymaster at Santa Monica, CA, for the USAAF (c/n 27314), powered by four 1,350 hp Pratt & Whitney R-2000-11 engines. After WW2 struck off and converted to DC-4 standard by Douglas at Santa Monica, CA (DC-4 conversion Nr. 13). Delivered to Pan American World Airways. Sold to Japan Air Lines in 1958. Sold to Ansett-ANA as a DC-4-D3, registered VH-INM, in March 1965. Ferried to Southend in 1968 for Carvair freighter conversion (c/n C54E-DC/27314/ATL98/21). VH-INM became the last C-54/DC-4 conversion and was delivered in 1968. It is portrayed in early Ansett livery. The Ansett Carvairs were intended for use as freighters for the Australian airline from the outset. NM is still in flying condition today ('06) as 9J-PAA, in South Africa. Grushin MAI3 for CFS2 by: W. Dickens, Peperez, Kelticheart et al. Born in 1906, Grushin worked on various aircraft at MAI. In 1935 he began scheming a tandem-wing aircraft, thinking this could form the basis of an attack aircraft with a rear gun turret. The single example of the Sh-Tandem (Shturmovik-Tandem) was constructed in the Institute's production training school. It was exhaustively tested by P M Stefanovskii from 5th December 1937. The key feature of this aircraft was that it had a main wing and a rear wing with 45 per cent as much area. FSX Louisville PhotoReal Scenery This is high resolution, 1Meter/Pixel, terrain scenery for Louisville, Ky. This section, D, features Runyantown Indiana and sections of the Indiana Arsenal. This photoscenery is for DAY USE ONLY and will work for any season, but shows only the USGS aerial photo data taken in April 2002. The default FSX mesh works well with this photoscenery and no additional mesh for the area needs to be purchased. FSX/Accel/FS2004/P3dv3 Pilotable polar science and research icebreaker Polarstern (Polar star). This German vessel of the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research/Bremerhaven was commissioned in 1982 and is mainly used for research in the Arctic and Antarctica. On 17th October 2008, Polarstern was the first research vessel ever traveled through both the Northeast Passage and the Northwest Passage in one cruise plus circumnavigating the North Pole. The model has a 2D panel and a complete virtual navigation bridge and a lot of very special animations: Breaking ice at the bow, a splitted ice wake behind the stern, a Bell 206B Jetranger helicopter can be pushed out of the hangar to the heli deck, four animated cranes, one is lifting a container onto the ice field and a polar bear mother with its child is walking near the ship. Twentyfive cameras let you watch all those animations and explore the ship. Original icebreaker sounds let you enjoy discovering ice fields.
