Kawasaki Chief Designer, Takeo Doi, had a design of his own for a high-speed fighter. His concept incorporated a number of novel features which were perceived as rather unorthodox in comparison to other more conventional types. First;it had two Kawasaki Ha-40 engines in tandem; one in the aircraft nose, theother behind the cockpit, both being connected by a drive shaft. This combination (called the Kawasaki Ha-201) drove two, three-bladed,contra-rotating propellers. The second feature was the use of the wing surface as a radiator for the water-cooled engines.

USAAF Horsham st. Faith was home to the 458th bomb group during WW2. Horsham st. Faith was previously used by the RAF, and now serves as Norwich Airport. In 1944, the airfield had become a heavy bomber base with concrete runways, and the aircraft flown from this airfield at that time was the B:24 Liberator. I have "shrunk" the city of Norwich to a more appropiate size for the era, and if you have installed IanPs "Rackheath" then you'll start to get an idea how close these fields were!I hope a later update of this quite basic scenery will include barrage balloons over the nearby city of Norwich (I need to research locations).

This is an updated version of the RNAS Culdrose, UK, scenery. Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose , based in Cornwall, near Helston, on the Lizard Peninsula, has three major roles: serving the Fleet Air Arm's front line Sea King and Merlin helicopter squadrons; providing search and rescue for the South West region; and training specialists for the Royal Navy (see NACSAC).As per feedback, I have changed some things and endeavoured to get the new version out ASAP, for more feedback and, hopefully, enjoyment.
