Jim Bede's first design was originally intended for home assembly. However, no kits were produced and certification as a fully assembled aircraft was long and expensive. This ended with Jim Bede being removed from the company and it being renamed American Aviation. They developed the prototype into the AA-1 Yankee Clipper and the AA-1 Trainer. Grumman bought the company in 1971 renaming it Grumman American, and produced the AA-1B Trainer and TR-2. Gulfstream bought the company in 1977 and upped the power from 108HP to 115HP in the AA-1C. AA-1 production ceased in 1978, with the current type certificate being held by True Flight Holdings LLC. Painted on to Ron Watson's excellent AA-1C, this represents a one owner aircraft, delivered in 1975 with its registration expiring on 21st March 2018; a total of 43 years of service!

FS2004/FSX Albatros G.III Grosskampfflugzeug, 1917 Of elegant lines and clean design, this little known, limited production version of Albatros Flugzeugwerke´s medium sized, twin engined tactical bomber biplane was built in 1917, based on their 1916 G.II prototype. It entered service in Macedonia and elsewhere in 1917. Powered by two Benz Bz.IV engines rated at 230 hp each, it had a payload of 720 lb and a top speed of 93 mph kt. It was faster and easier to fly than the more famous Gotha, AEG or Friedrichshafen "G" series bombers. FS9/FSX mdl by A.F.Scrub

This scenery addon will add custom buildings and hangars to W96 airport. W96 is a small general aviation airport a few miles east of Richmond, VA. This airport has a relatively short runway with trees at both approach ends which make for interesting landings.

For the freeware SMS Overland MD-11 with P&W 4460 engines, which you must have previously installed in FSX. I installed the freeware (SMS-MD-11_Dutch_Package.zip) with VC which works well with this repaint. Also includes engine exhaust smoke coordinates which you can add to your "aircraft.cfg" if you wish. "imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas. This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data. Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values. But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands? So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh. Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public. This work is dedicated to all the people who flew with TAN SAHSA, and for all of us that would like to see the blue livery and the five stars flying again to and from Honduras. In 1990, the two Honduran airlines merged into a single name, known as "TAN SAHSA". The fleet was composed basically of Boeing 737-200s, Boeing 737-400s and the Lockeed L-188 Electra as cargo planes.
