FSX Platzer Kiebitz
(Category: FSX > Props)
55.01Mb (495 downloads)
The Platzer Kiebitz is a German amateur-built two seat aircraft designed by Michael Platzer and made available in the form of plans for amateur construction. Even though the aircraft can only be constructed from plans, the Kiebitz has proven popular with builders for the European Fédération Aéronautique Internationale microlight class.
The aircraft fuselage is made from welded steel tubing, with its flying surfaces covered in doped aircraft fabric. Engines from 50 to 100 hp (37 to 75 kW) can be used. The prototype used a 50 hp (37 kW) Nissan 12P automotive engine from a Nissan Micra, but Rotax, Volkswagen air-cooled engines and Sauer powerplants have also been employed.
This package consists of four aircraft. Two, using Daniel Delapine’s excellent model, are painted in a pre-war US Navy colour scheme, and the other two are painted in a civilian schemes. This is for the low and slow flyers, and is great fun to fly. Enjoy.

P3Dv4+ PB4Y-2 Super Privateer Airtanker Pack
(Category: Prepar3d > Vintage)
405.70Mb (495 downloads)
The is an overhaul of the original package released for FS9/FSX. I have overhauled this aircraft to take advantage of P3Dv4 and above's use of PBR. I have also added new sounds, flight dynamics, views, models, and liveries. The pack contains 4 new model variations and 4 new liveries, for a total of 5 models and 8 liveries. The "Super" Privateer is a lighter more powerful version of the PB4Y-2 Privateer modified in civilian use for aerial firefighting operations. Super Privateers had the majority of military equipment and blister turrets removed along with their stock engines. The engines were replaced by more powerful engines from the B-25 Mitchell. As a result the Supers were lighter and more powerful than their military counterparts were. This made it possible for them to carry up to 2,000 gallons of fire retardant or water. Updated by the original author Jeremy Ulloa and myself Nicholas Mitchell.
