The VC is the Alejandro Rojas Lucena/FSND Boeing 737-800 virtual cockpit blended with Ken Wiggington's revisions. There are custom HQ Boeing sounds included for that extra realism. Garry Smith Archive Files: FS2004 Scenery - Transload Military Base - YTMD - Camp Thatcher. The Military Base is at the northernmost tip of Flinders Island - just off Tasmania. It has two major runways with lots of parking for military aircraft of all sizes. The scenery has some fun challenges such as a valley leading into Runway 19 and a high bridge off the other end. Camp Thatcher supports comprehensive AI traffic, with over 70 aircraft parked throughout; a majority of them are parked inside hangars and come out for their sortie twice a day. On an Island just offshore is a small, tight pylon racing track - and just off the end of Runway 19 is a set of very large pylons for racing at high speed. This scenery package contains some of the AI aircraft, however, the AI aircraft from the Transload Carriers pack is also used (and required), if you wish ALL the AI aircraft to show up. 4NY8- Harris Hill Harris Hill is known as the soaring Capital of the U.S. because of its' history, Martin Schempp(German soaring pioneer) "discovered" the area while traveling on business in the 1930's. (He worked in Pittsburgh PA at the time) Elmira NY is situated in a valley surrounded by hills facing several different prevailing wind possibilities. Presented with outstanding bungee launch points for any wind condition, several national soaring contests were held there before World War Two. Harris Hill is the only remaining of the original slope sites, and is now home to Harris Hill soaring Corporation and the National Soaring Museum. The former Schweizer Aircraft Co.is located below Harris Hill at KELM, was before its closing, the only family owned sailplane manufacturer and aerospace contractor in the U.S. They ceased making sailplanes in the 1980's and continued in the Aircraft manufacturing business until selling to Sikorsky in 2004. If you like this scenery I also plan to publish a new KELM - Elmira Corning Regional Airport, as well as the Harris Hill emergency field with new land class. This is scenery for MDMC (Osvaldo Virgil Airport) which is located in Montecristi, The Dominican Republic. This is the first version of this scenery for this airport. In this scenery you will see the runway was extended to the right length, all gates that are found in real life where added, and airport buildings were added. In versions to come even more detail.
