Viking 1A Eros (UK) Textures only. One of three Viking leased
by Eros from Air Safaris. Eros was intially formed in Cyprus
during 1957 but in 1962 Eros (UK) came into being to operate
IT charters after taking over the former Falcon Airways premises
at Gatwick. However the airline found it dificult to get facilites
at the airport. Ambitious plans were announced involving DC
6 and Avro 748 aircraft but after a second quiet winter it closed
April 1964. G-AHOW had two more operaters over the next three
years until it was broken up at Manston after withdrawl in September
1967 by Invicta who had acquired it from Air Ferry.Requires

executive One-Eleven flyng briefly in 1974 as G-BIII. A type
408EF it was originally built for Channel as G-AWKJ. Requires
