The Chilean Air force operated the HU-16 Albatross in the years 60-70, and used them on maritime surveillance, anti-submarine patrols and search and rescue operations. Homebased at Grupo 2, Quintero. In the sixties, some of this planes operated in the Chilean Antarctic Territory, from Caleta Péndulo, Pedro Aguirre Cerda air force base, located in Deception island, before the base resulted destroyed by a volcanic eruption. I have included a damage profile for use with CFS1, with armament: 2 x 0.30 machine gun in the side windows, rockets and bombs (depth charges).

This is a repaint of the Emb110P, the original model with two textures was made by: RanchoJEN models-Brazil. They are the Copyright holders. I made a repaint in the colours of 'Talair', a company that was active in Papua New Guinea until the 1990's. This repaint represents their Bandeirante with the registration P2-RDM. On 6 February 1987, this plane ditched into the ocean on the final approach to Hoskins on the island of New Britain. Only 3 passengers of a total of 17 people on board survived. I was lucky to have left the plane in Lae only 2 hours before that fatal crash.

Airstrip of Chamois (AO02) - Valle d'Aosta - Italy. This little grass airstrip didn't exist in the sim. It is also a nice place to takeoff and move towards the north of the valley, where Matterhorn is located. By NikPrist

UGMS - Queen Tamar Airport Mestia, Georgia (country - not state) high detail scenery. The airfield in Mestia was named after Queen Tamar, who ruled the country in the 12th and 13th centuries. In 2010, the airfield was completely rebuilt. Before there was only a grass track whereas today there is a paved runway (02/20) of 1,200m length. Due to the high mountains and narrow valleys the approach is considered particularly demanding. To make matters worse, the airfield has no navigation aids. So you are completely dependent on good visibility. Since 2015 Vanilla Sky flies regularly to Natakhtari (near Tbilisi) and Kutaisi with a LET410. In 2017, more than 7,000 passengers were handled at Mestia Airport. A 70 percent increase over the previous year. We tried to reproduce the airfield as realistically as possible in the simulator. What is made somewhat complicated is the fact that it is not always welcome to shoot photos and also generally there is not much information about the place. By default, the airfield in P3D / FSX is not included. Nevertheless, it has been possible to achieve a coherent image and to accurately represent the demanding approach.
