WWI AI Handling Upgrade Version 1.0 By John P Fortin (AKA Polar_Lion) In an attempt to improve the handling of the AI aircraft, I have made some modifications. I have thoroughly researched every aircraft. Using books and internet sites to obtain my data. I have even calculated such things as the CID of each engine. All to give the best performance of every aircraft while staying as close to historic as possible. The .cfg and .air files were made to help the AIs dogfight better but still retain the players handling. So the Stock Aerocrate's Nieuport 17 will handle the same as my edit for the player. The AIs should fly with less crashing and a bit more responsiveness. I only changed the entries in the DPs that effected the AIs. That means the Damage profile is unchanged. There are Eleven (11) parts of this mesh to download as separate files. ASTER GDEM Version 2 is a 30 metre definition DEM, its better than the version 1 data that ERSDAC, of Japan and NASA originally released, but it does have its limitations. GDEM has been obtained from a satellite that uses stereoscopic infrared scanning cameras, this brings with it problems in the resultant data.....where it sees the tops of trees, buildings etc, as the ground terrain. If you look at the jpg image with the terrain type errors shown as a graph, you will see that the only 'safe' terrain to use this data with - in FSX - is scrubland, or desert terrain. Its hopeless in defining the terrain in places like Europe - with all the artificial structures, (buildings) and different types of woodland, so any mesh I create from this data won't include areas like that....it will be more desert type terrain, and scrubland. I won't be doing Greenland because something about the ice around Greenland, (or any other land mass with ice) it creates false data. It does give enough fine data to reveal railway lines, and some roads though. This mesh has been made for FSX only. FS2000 scenery--St Petersburg 2001 (version 2). This is a completely new version, the previous files are no longer needed. This scenery improved the Pulkovo (ULLI) airport near St Petersburg, Russia. Includes dense buildings in the city of St Petersburg, improved city textures with full night lightning, custom airport terminals with full night lightning, detailed taxiway lights and lines, 17 static aircraft positioned around the airport, most with night lightning, trees around the airport, detailed roads and highways, improved field textures around the airport and places luggage, fire and fuel trucks on the aprons. Also included: online help manual, maps and charts, install and uninstall programs. This scenery was designed with official maps and other information, photos from the internet and information from real pilots. All ground and taxiway/apron textures have summer/winter versions.
