FSX/P3Dv3/P3Dv4 Aviateca Guatemala F-27-200 Textures
FSX/P3Dv3/P3Dv4 Aviateca Guatemala F-27-200 Textures
10.80Mb (273 downloads)
This is a repaint of the F-27-200 in Aviateca colors. The freeware FSX Native F-27 by Bjorn Kesten is needed for this repaint. The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. History of TG-AOA: Aviateca operated 3 F-27s over the years. The one depicted in this repaint is an F-27-200. History of TG-AOA: This aircraft began life with All Nippon Airways of Japan when it was delivered to them on November 3 1964. Ten years later to the month, it was sold to Air Niugini on November 28 1974. It was then bought by Aviateca with the registration TG-AOA, on April 6 1978. The Guatemalan Air Force was the next in line when they bought it on January 1 1983. They consequently converted it, in May 1985, to an F-27-400M which is the Military version. This version featured a large powered cargo door to facilitate movement of loads to the aircraft. It passed a few more hands along the way when it was finally bought by the German carrier WDL Flugdienst on May 15 1995.

Messerschmitt Bf109G-6/AS I./EJG2 (Category: FS2004 > Vintage)

Messerschmitt Bf109G-6/AS by Design Team Daedalus Unit: Stab I./EJG2 (Ergänzungsjagdgeschwader 2), Thüringen, April/May 1945 Pilot: unknown senior instructor pilots EJG2 was a night fighter replacement training unit. Senior pilots sometimes flew interception missions as well as training tyros. The first G-6/AS aircraft reached frontline units in early April, 1944 - III/JG, I/JG5 and II/JG11. I/JG3 received them in May and II/JG/27 got theirs in June, along with a few going to NJGr.10. There is no "standard" Bf 109G-6/AS, as the production included conversions of basic G-6 models and different radio equipment, oil cooler types, antenna masts, etc. were available at different times during the production runs. So each model we have created has its own unique features. Pstrany developed the models using Paul Rebuffat's Messerschmitt model - with permission - as a starting framework and updated the shape, and added a plethora of details, new parts, and ideas. Pstrany also developed the models for the drop tanks, weapons and racks. Captain Kurt created paints for each, the 2D instrument panel, the air files and the aircraft.cfg files. Mav SCASM edited each model so that they have animated wing slats, drop tanks, and other features, as well as optimizing models for the best possible frame rates. We have all benefited from the assistance and guidance of others in the community. Special thanks to Wolfi and Huub Vink for their kind assistance and to all who have contributed their knowledge directly and indirectly.

Messerschmitt Bf109G-6 by Design Team Daedalus Unit: 5./JG11 Jever, Summer 1943 Pilot: Staffelkapitan Lt Heinz Knoke Unit photos and Knoke's autobiography around this time show drop tanks and W.Gr. 21 rockets were used. The .dp file reflects this. There is no "standard" Bf 109G-6, as the production run spanned 2 years, it underwent many modifications and updates along the way. So each model we have created has it's own unique features. Pstrany developed the models using Paul Rebuffat's Messerschmitt model - with permission - as a starting framework and updated the shape, and added a plethora of details, new parts, and ideas. Pstrany also developed the models for the drop tanks, weapons and racks. Captain Kurt created paints for each, the 2D instrument panel, the individual .dp files, the air files and the aircraft.cfg files. Mav SCASM edited each model so that they have animated wing slats, drop tanks, and other features, as well as optimizing models for the best possible framerates. Mav also developed the idea for the 2d panel to be offset for the Revi gunsight to match the CFS2 reticle. This is an enhancement of the default P3Dv4 airport. Aircraft gates have been correctly coded using Airport Design Editor 1.76.6715, according to the latest terminal map information (due to space constraints some gates could not be included); a new airport vehicle network has been built; extra fuel trucks have been added throughout the airport; the tower view has been changed to display from the roof of the control tower; all taxiway designators are correct and all taxiway signs are correctly placed and named; there is the option to open all runways to AI traffic; and cargo ramps for UPS and FedEx are displayed. This airport has only been tested in P3Dv4, and is not guaranteed to work in earlier versions. Please refer to the README FIRST.txt file to insure proper installation of all files.

RAF Bardney, Air Force Base, UK (Category: FSX > Scenery)
0.01Mb (273 downloads)
RAF Bardney is a former Royal Air Force station located 1.7 miles (2.7 km) north of Bardney, Lincolnshire, England and 10.2 miles (16.4 km) east of the County town of Lincoln. It was built as a satellite to RAF Waddington in 1943 and the airfield closed in 1963. Souce: Wikipedia In this update I have followed the practice of giving the ICAO code from Bones Avaition page, therefore the ICAO code X4BA. Although the runways, peri track hangars are pretty much as was; the remaining buildings used are just eye candy and there just to give a flavour of a wartime station. There are no taxi way or runway markings as these were not used until sometime after the war. I have however, kept the use of the lights as a form of lighting was used during the war, clearly they would not of been on all the time like mine, but as the hangers show at night I decided to keep the lights. :)
