RAF Winthorpe opened in September 1940 and was used as a satellite for RAF Swinderby. It had a long and varied career, mainly as a Heavy Conversion unit. I am not going into too much history here as an in-depth history can be viewed on the very good Newark Air Museum site www.newarkairmuseum.org The runways, peri track and hangars are pretty much as was; As are the vast majority of the buildings, however, I cannot guarantee that the building used are 100% the correct type of building or in the actual place on the airfield, although I have done my best. (Much of the map I had was out of focus and the building listings were not complete. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my version of RAF Winthorpe.

RAF Snitterfield was a WW2 class A airfield and had around 30 aircraft dispersals. Snitterfield opened in 1943 and with the end of WW2 it closed again in 1946. By Terry Boissel

This is an FSX and P3D self contained package to add the York/Binbrook Water Tower (CPP6), used by small-aircraft pilots to orient themselves in the York CPP6 area. Not much to it, just the tower with flashing lights at the top. Made by Fern Marques. This doesn't work on FS9. The York package for FS9 contains this water tower.

CFS2 F4F DESERT WILDCAT textures only- This is another fictional repaint for the stock Wildcat in CFS2 (April 2003). Camouflaged in desert brown and sand yellow, Squadron 101. CFS Scenery Add-On "Bremerhaven" By Edmundo Abad, Santiago- Chile The "Bremerhaven" scenery is roughly fictional but attempt to show a detailed depiction of the german airport of Bremerhaven during WWII. I am only based on current aerial photos and DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH flugplatkarte. All information are took through the net, for represent a wartime style of this airport located at the mouth of the Weser river near Bremerhaven harbor. I don't know if this was operated by the Luftwaffe in the WWII. But is a good fictional complement to my other sceneries of Baltic and North Sea area. I include a static Lufthansa DC-2, searchlights, zeppelin's hangars, a section of Weser mouth, rotating windmills, lighthouse, the waterwork neighbor at airport, ships, harbor facilities and refuel area with moving fuel truck. 774K
