FS2004 Antonov An-72 in Antonov Airlines Colors The Antonov An-72 "Coaler" was designed as a Short TakeOff and Landing (STOL) aircraft which can operate from unprepared airfields. The An-72 originated as An-32, but was later fitted with jet engines. The first prototype flew on 22 December 1977, and the aircraft entered service in 1979. The wings are high-mounted with two turbofans located in long pods mounted on top. Round air intakes extend from the front of the wings' leading edges. The engines were placed on the leading edge of the wings to increase lift for STOL capability, with the jet exhausts blowing over titanium panels on the upper surface. The engine position also gives good Foreign Object Damage (FOD) protection. The fuselage is circular with round, solid nose, upswept rear section, and a flush cockpit. The rear fuselage has a hinged loading ramp with a rear fairing that slides backwards and up to clear the opening. Up to 7.5 tons can be airdropped, and there are folding side seats for 42 fully-equipped paratroops or 52 passengers. FSX Dornier Do335 Package. Multiple aircraft package from WW2 Luftwaffe. Package includes comprehensive model, interior and operating manual. The unusual tandem engine layout of the Do335 was first patented by Dr. Claude Dornier in 1937. Permission to build a prototype was withheld until 1942, and the first operational units arrived just before the end of the war. The 'Pfeil' (Arrow) never saw combat operations, but would have wreaked havoc among the Allied bomber streams. Depicted is the A-1 day fighter, though a two-seat night fighter (the A-6) was also deployed. An improved B series was also in prototype stage by war's end. The Airbus A320 NEO (New Engine Option) is the successor of the very popular A320 with a lowest fuel consumption. Prototypes are being constructed and first flight is foreseen by the end of 2014. Here is the Air France version from Camil Valiquette including AGS (Advanced Ground Servicing). 2D panels for wide and standard screen (no VC), GPWS callout, and warning horn callout by Philippe Wallaert. Reworked and additionnal views ( defined by camera definitions in the aircraft.cfg file ) for the "Antonov AN124 Package" by Thomas Ruth. The AN-124 has a front and a rear loading ramp. 13 outside views of the aircraft, 2 in the cargo bay ( they are disabled ) and 6 VC views. See Read me.txt file for very easy installation procedures.
