5.29Mb (163 downloads)
This is a repaint of the Douglas C-124A in USAF colors. The freeware Douglas C-124 for FSX by Jens Kristensen (JBK) is needed for this repaint. This is a repaint of a C-124A (Serial: 51-118) of the 22nd Troop Carrier Squadron (TCS) , which was under the Tactical Air Command (TAC) - circa 1952. The aircraft was later converted to a C-124C. It was retired to MASDC as CQ0204 on September 28, 1971. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, and P3Dv1-4.

Messerschmitt Bf109G-6/AS 1./NJGr 10
Messerschmitt Bf109G-6/AS 1./NJGr 10 (Category: FS2004 > Vintage)
13.81Mb (163 downloads)
Messerschmitt Bf109G-6/AS by Design Team Daedalus Unit: 1./NJGr 10, August 1944 Pilot: Maj. Freidrich-Karl Müller Müller recorded 30 night victories and survived the war. The first G-6/AS aircraft reached frontline units in early April, 1944 - III/JG, I/JG5 and II/JG11. I/JG3 received them in May and II/JG/27 got theirs in June, along with a few going to NJGr.10. There is no "standard" Bf 109G-6/AS, as the production included conversions of basic G-6 models and different radio equipment, oil cooler types, antenna masts, etc. were available at different times during the production runs. So each model we have created has it's own unique features. Pstrany developed the models using Paul Rebuffat's Messerschmitt model - with permission - as a starting framework and updated the shape, and added a plethora of details, new parts, and ideas. Pstrany also developed the models for the drop tanks, weapons and racks. Captain Kurt created paints for each, the 2D instrument panel, the air files and the aircraft.cfg files. Mav SCASM edited each model so that they have animated wing slats, drop tanks, and other features, as well as optimizing models for the best possible framerates. We have all benefited from the assistance and guidance of others in the community. Special thanks to Wolfi and Huub Vink for their kind assistance and to all who have contributed their knowledge directly and indirectly.

Real Charts VFR Sectionals: Green Bay
Real Charts VFR Sectionals: Green Bay
Real Charts VFR Sectionals: Green Bay (Category: FS Navigation > Flight Simulator Navigation)
25.14Mb (163 downloads)
Hi-def scans of real VFR aeronautical United States charts, as available for download from the FAA, reduced and formatted in pdf form by me for use with flight sims. Display them in a kneeboard utility, print them, whatever...I like to use fragments of them to make pdfs for different flights, but that is only one way. If you want to "get real" about navigating in the sim the way it's done in real life, these charts are for you. But you might also just enjoy wandering around, comparing the chart to the world depicted in the sim. These charts will most likely be outdated by the time you use them, or your sim may even pre-date the charts, but they should work well enough. A basic guide for interpreting them is included, as well as tips on how to measure and mark them. Each chart also includes a handy chart legend, a map showing what region it covers, and airspace and frequency information. If you are unfamiliar with how to use them for navigation, be sure to check out my multi-part tutorial series "Compass, Clock, and Chart", available here at simviation.com.
