The Boeing E-3 Sentry is a U.S. military airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft based on the Boeing 707 that provides all-weather surveillance, command, control and communications. It is used by countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Saudi Arabia and NATO air defense forces. It is distinguished by the disc-shaped rotodome above the fuselage. FSX/ FS2004 Rocky Mountains Part 1: Telluride (KTEX) / Silverton, Colorado (CO). This is the first part of BlueSky's Rocky Mountains project. It covers the beautiful area around Telluride and Silverton, containing countless mountains, some even higher than 14,000 feet. Telluride itself is an interesting high elevation airport at 9000 feet situated on a 1000 foot mesa and strong vertical turbulence at the mesa edge.
