Nanga Parbat, Karakoram Range, Detailed Mountain Scenery
(Category: FSX > Scenery)
60.05Mb (4317 downloads)
At 8,125m, it is the ninth tallest mountain in the world. Nanga Parbat is geographically a part of the Himalayas, located in relative isolation at the westernmost end of the range in Pakistan. Of the world's fourteen highest mountains, ten are Himalayan peaks: Mount Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Nanga Parbat, Annapurna and Shisha Pangma. Only four are located in within the Karakoram Range: K2, Gasherbrum I and II, and Broad Peak. K2 is the tallest mountain in the Karakoram Range and her three 8000m neighbors lie within 20 km. Nanga Parbat is 200 km away. Karakoram is a large mountain range spanning the borders between Pakistan, China, and India, located in the regions of Gilgit, Ladakh, and Baltistan. It is one of the Greater Ranges of Asia, often considered together with the Himalaya, but not technically part of that range. By Frank Dainese

FSX/FS2004
Savoia Marchetti S.81 Pipistrello Package.
The Savoia Marchetti (SIAI) SM81 was the armed bomber/transport
version of the SM73 airliner. This SM81 package is partially
derived from my previous S73_V20.zip, but a lot of parts were
completely rebuilt. Flight dynamics, panel and gauges were
designed after studying the original manuals of the aircraft
and its related instruments and engines. This archive contains
four variants, each with different engines and operating procedures:
the Piaggio P.X/RC15, Alfa Romeo A.R.125/RC35, Alfa Romeo
A.R.126/RC34 and Gnome et Rhone 14K Mistral Major. Seven liveries
are included: Five Regia Aeronautica (Royal Italian Air Force)
and two Spanish Nationalist Air Force. All standard animations
are present and all MDLs also feature animated turrets, gondola
and gun hatches. This "Pipistrello" package is completed
of panel, gauges, sounds and virtual cockpit. It's optimised
for FS9, but will work (perhaps with minor errors) in FSX
(a bitmap file must to be replaced). Models by Stefano Meneghini,
paints by Manuele Villa, flight dynamics and reference notes
by FSAviator. See also "ReadMe.txt" and "understanding
the SM81.txt" for more details. 25.7MB Filename S81_V10.zip

Horten H-VII
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
12.88Mb (4314 downloads)
Horten H-VII, experimental flying wing and trainer. Based on the experiences of the smaller H-Vc, the two-seated H-VII made its first flight in May 1943. The H-VII was powered by two Argus AS-10-SC engines driving two-bladed constant-speed propellers via extension shafts. The aircraft had a fully retractable twin nosewheel undercarriage. The aircraft could reach a max. speed of 340 km/hr. The paintings were in Luftwaffe camouflage, assigned to the RLM-no.8-226
This extraordinary aircraft probably suffered the same fate as the H-Vc and was burned after US troops occupied the Goettingen airfield in april 1945. Has 2d panel(No VC). By Andreas Becker.
