In April, 1942, a British test pilot, Ronald Harker, flew the Mustang and was very impressed by it. He suggested that the new plane would be a natural fit with the Rolls Royce Merlin 60-series engine, well-suited to high altitudes. At the prodding of Major Thomas Hitchcock, the Americans began working along the same lines (using the Packard license-built version of the Merlin), and the first Merlin-equipped Mustang, the P-51B, flew in November, 1942. The results were impressive, to say the least. At 30,000 feet, the improved Mustang reached 440 MPH, almost 100 MPH faster than the Allison-equipped Mustang at that altitude. FSX Republic Gunship (Final)

This is my Star Wars Episode 2 LAAT/I or better known as the Republic Gunship. I believe it is a first ever to, I don't know of any other one for fsx ever made until now. It's not anything amazing no panel no vc. It's just something I threw together using model converter x, google sketchup, and gmax. Enjoy. This is "for now" the final version. I am going to learn how to make animations in gmax. So I will be releasing a new animated ship soon. Feel free to tweak and edit it.

Jesse G. Folmar While aboard the USS Bataan in 1952.The Checkerboards
VMA-312 would make history when VMA-312 pilot Capt. Jesse G.
Folmar became the first American to shoot down a jet fighter
with a propeller-driven aircraft. Folmar was able to down one
of a pair of MiG-1 S. Which attacked him and his wingman on
10th September 1952 . This Aircraft Includes pictures and History.

Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser

The PA-12 was produced by Piper from 1946 to 1948. It was called the J-5C until Piper changed its nomenclature scheme. It could carry three people with the pilot sitting alone in the front and side-by-side passengers behind. It was flown solo from the front. This is a FSX native project. It has a slight specular shine and reflective glass. The exterior and interior are modeled from Paul Matt's excellent drawings. The VC has working gauges and animated flight controls. Covers the spectacular Glacier National Park just south of the Canadian border in
Montana. Although the mountains formed about 60 million years ago, the rugged landscape as we
see it today is largely the effect of glaciers. The covered area is 3500 sq km at 4.7 m/pixel

/ FS2004 Southern Cross Fokker FVII/3m. The
'Southern Cross' made the first crossing of the Pacific Ocean
by an aircraft, flown by Charles Kingsford-Smith and a crew
of three. They took off from Oakland, California on May 31,
1928, and arrived at Brisbane, Australia on June 19. The Southern
Cross was, at the time, even more famous than Charles Lindberg's
'Spirit of St. Louis'. The Southern Cross is preserved today
at Brisbane Airport. This package includes the aircraft model
and ready-made flights you can use to recreate the 1928 experience.
Improved version 2 model, modified to work with FSX as well
