The Adventure is an example of the kind of tramp steamer that played such a big part in the literature of the 1930s, from "King Kong" to "Terry and the Pirates". By an "amazing" coincidence, the Adventure is the sister ship to the Venture - the ship that sailed to Skull Island in King Kong. You can use the Adventure to conduct your own expedition to Skull Island. Or if you prefer the pirate life, you can selct "pirate mode" and join the Dragon Lady in the South China Seas.

Westland Lysander. With its distinctive high-aspect ratio, high-mounted wing, the Lysander, or "Lizzie", was one of the most capable liaison planes of WWII. The type was fitted with a very powerful engine for its size, and had a unique, high-lift wing of long span which was equipped with automatic leading edge slats and trailing edge flaps. The large wing, powerful engine, and light weight allowed takeoff and landing distances of 300 feet for a normal load, with a stalling speed of just 56 mph. These saw service in a variety of roles, from general liaison to clandestine "spy drops" to target towing and air-sea rescue. In the Mk.IIIA, a large external belly tank of 180 gallons provided exceptional range for dropping off and picking up covert operatives well beyond enemy lines. First flown in 1936, a total of 1,652 of the type were built before production ended.

FS2004 Channel Island Airports, UK: The 3 Channel Island Airports (Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney) are located about 20 miles off the French coast in the English Channel. I live on Jersey and have flown through Guernsey and Alderney a number of times, so this is a pretty accurate representation of the airports. Features include many parkable hangars, accurate control towers, accurate departure lounges, accurate gates, accurate aero clubs, many static aircraft, many vehicles, car parks, freight terminals, private aviation terminals, fuel farms, fire-stations, surrounding trees, perimeter fencing and more. Many night textures and custom AFCAD files included. This re-release was prompted by a few bug-fixes. The crash detection has now been removed from all 3 airports and the "white trees" problem that a few people experienced at Alderney has also been fixed. If you didn't suffer from either of these problems, then the original airports are fine and you won't need to download this version as there is nothing else new here. Tim Clayton. 2.5MB
