During the 'Great Patriotic War' (World War II), PO-2’s
were used for close air support, bombing and night harassment
raids. These raids were emulated a decade later in the Korean
War when North Koreans would fly low at night and drop hand-grenades

The Meteor would never have been built if the Gloster E29/39
had not proved successful. Only two E28/39's (unofficially known
as the Gloster Pioneer) were built but they proved the viability
of the turbojet as a power source for a fighter aircraft and
paved the way for the jet age to begin in Britain. FSDS2 model

This is Robert Hawk's repaint of J R Lucariny's FS9 Grumman Wildcat Modified For FSX. The Grumman F4F Wildcat was an American carrier-based fighter aircraft that began service with both the United States Navy and the British Royal Navy (as the Martlet) in 1940. Although first used in combat by the British in Europe, the Wildcat was the only United States Navy or Marine fighter in World War II 1941-42 in the Pacific Theater besides the brief appearance of the F2A Buffalo. With a top speed of 318 mph (512 km/h), the Wildcat was outperformed by the more nimble 331 mph (533 km/h) Mitsubishi Zero, but its ruggedness and tactics such as the Thach Weave resulted in an air combat kill-to-loss ratio of 5.9:1 in 1942 and 6.9:1 for the entire war. The present aircraft model had been completely reworked with this version 2.2 as regards to the original model released many years ago and now it has an animated 3D virtual cockpit.
The package contains a specific version of the Atlantic as that used by French marine in two different liveries, the old colors and the new one . The model with older livery carry the badge of the 24F navy squadron , the example with new livery carry that of 23F navy squadron both based at Lann-Bihoue.
