FS2004/CFS2 Bristol Bombay. The Bombay was built to the Air Ministry Specification C.26/31 for a monoplane aircraft which could carry bombs or 24 troops. Despite the all-metal construction, the Bombay retained some features which were outdated at the time, such as its fixed undercarriage. Outclassed for the European theatre, it saw service in the Middle East, replacing the Vickers Valentia. FS2004 MI-24V Hind E OPTEC Textures only. This MI-24V by Tim Conrad repaint represents the Hind employed by OPTEC (Operational Test & Evaluation Command), stationed at Biggs AAF, Ft Bliss, Texas. Besides the Hind they operate many other former Warshaw Pact produced aircraft to create an opposing force with equipment closely resembling a realistic outfit. After conflicts like the first Gulf-War and the fall of the "Iron Curtain" the U.S. armed forces as well as other western nations gained a lot off former Soviet equipment for evaluation and training purpose.
