FS2004 MI-24V Hind E OPTEC Textures only. This MI-24V by Tim Conrad repaint represents the Hind employed by OPTEC (Operational Test & Evaluation Command), stationed at Biggs AAF, Ft Bliss, Texas. Besides the Hind they operate many other former Warshaw Pact produced aircraft to create an opposing force with equipment closely resembling a realistic outfit. After conflicts like the first Gulf-War and the fall of the "Iron Curtain" the U.S. armed forces as well as other western nations gained a lot off former Soviet equipment for evaluation and training purpose. FS2004 Dassault Mirage F1AZ, 237, South African Air Force Textures only. This is a repaint of the new Mirage F1AZ (F1V25.zip here by Kirk Olsson. It is painted as F1AZ "237" from No.1 Sqn in the original paint scheme. This aircraft was damaged by SA-3 SAM's during combat operations over Angola in 1980. Pilot Captain IC du Plessis managed to land the aircraft at a friendly forward airfield despite the damage sustained. He was awarded the Honoris Crux for airmanship and courage. FSX/Acceleration Concept Helicopter Sikorsky S-97 Raider. It is Sikorsky's proposed high-speed scout and attack compound helicopter which can carry 2&6 men as crew plus armed soldiers. Cruising speed is 253 mph/407 kmh. It is Sikorsky's earliest attempt for a fast helicopter with stiff coaxial rotors and is buildt in 2 different styles of prototyp. The first flight was in May 2015. The FS-model has a VC with animated sticks and HUD. The exterior provides animated multible rockets and a fast rotating gatling gun. Twelve cameras shows all the features. FS2004 Bowers Fly Baby. One of of the "Standbys" of the homebuilt aircraft world. Four different physical models, and eight different paint schemes are included. FS2004 Lockheed L-1011 Flying Hospital This is one of the only four L-1011 equiped with an extra stair conducting to the lower floor, and has been modified with orthodontial rooms, pre-operatory, three operation rooms, medical school and everything to let this plane fly to a desaster area and help the population, or just go to any developing country, land, and stay up to fifhteen days giving free help and medical training for the local doctors. The Flying Hospital is the largest fully equipped, self-contained airborne hospital ever built. Original model by Mike Stone, repainted by Alejandro Hurtado. FS2004/FSX Lagg-3 WW2 Fighter The Lagg-3 came close to its rival Bf-109F in performance and was superior in manoeuvrability. In combat, LaGG-3's main advantage was its strong airframe. Although the laminated wood did not burn it shattered severely when hit by high explosive rounds. The LaGG-3 was, however, a capable design in its own right and well-liked by its pilots and ground crew alike.
