FS2004 Dassault Mirage F1AZ, 237, South African Air Force Textures only. This is a repaint of the new Mirage F1AZ (F1V25.zip here by Kirk Olsson. It is painted as F1AZ "237" from No.1 Sqn in the original paint scheme. This aircraft was damaged by SA-3 SAM's during combat operations over Angola in 1980. Pilot Captain IC du Plessis managed to land the aircraft at a friendly forward airfield despite the damage sustained. He was awarded the Honoris Crux for airmanship and courage. FS2004/FSX SNCASE 5000 / 5003 Baroudeur, Version 3 with new "what-if" configurations. A French fighter bomber prototype of the early fifties. The SNCASE Baroudeur made its first flight on August 1st 1953. The main particularity of this aircraft was the absence of landing gear, resulting in a significant weight saving and the ability to dispense with concrete runways. The aircraft was taking-off using a separate carriage and had retractable skids for landing. These skids even allow the plane to take-off autonomously from snow or ice-covered strips. Contains all the previous versions and animations (separated carriage for take-off, realistic view on the inside jet-engine, pilot ladder, guns, etc.) + two fictional ("what-if ?") versions : equipped with a landing gear + a fantasy "Patrouille de France" livery from the sixties. FS2004/2002 Boeing 757-222 United Airlines N588UA, repainted in 32-bit chrome textures, using Project Opensky's excellent 757-200 (P&W engines) aircraft, representing once again an excellent GMax model, with maximum animation and a virtual cockpit. Alphasim Vickers Valiant in MDLX standard, for FSX only The often overlooked Valiant was ordered as 'insurance' against more advanced Vulcan and Victor. Designed and developed very quickly, the Valiant's were delivered on time and on budget, a rarity in military aircraft development. B.1's dropped live H-bombs on tests out of Christmas island, dropped conventional warloads on Egyptian airfields from Cyprus during the '56 Suez war, provided NATO's nuclear punch, and served as AAR tankers. I am quite proud to present this very detailed and accurate repaint of AeroSur's Boeing 767-284ER logojet named "Sharko", in the Project Opensky B762 V4 model. This repaint is almost 100% hand painted. All artwork is hand rendered except the AeroSur Eagle logo. FS2004 MI-24V Hind E OPTEC Textures only. This MI-24V by Tim Conrad repaint represents the Hind employed by OPTEC (Operational Test & Evaluation Command), stationed at Biggs AAF, Ft Bliss, Texas. Besides the Hind they operate many other former Warshaw Pact produced aircraft to create an opposing force with equipment closely resembling a realistic outfit. After conflicts like the first Gulf-War and the fall of the "Iron Curtain" the U.S. armed forces as well as other western nations gained a lot off former Soviet equipment for evaluation and training purpose. FS2004 Lockheed L-1011 Flying Hospital This is one of the only four L-1011 equiped with an extra stair conducting to the lower floor, and has been modified with orthodontial rooms, pre-operatory, three operation rooms, medical school and everything to let this plane fly to a desaster area and help the population, or just go to any developing country, land, and stay up to fifhteen days giving free help and medical training for the local doctors. The Flying Hospital is the largest fully equipped, self-contained airborne hospital ever built. Original model by Mike Stone, repainted by Alejandro Hurtado.
